No pics for a month or two, but I pulled the trigger on 5 degree RCI rock sliders this last week. True underside armor will probably come next year.

The Avid Offroad sliders I had on my 2.5 Gen paid for themselves literally the day after I put them on. Some poor woman's car door got caught by a gust of wind and SLAMMED into my sliders. Barely a ding on them, on what would have easily been $1K of body work and paint on the door.

I did take advantage of RCI's "sale." Of course, they have sales so often it's really more like their normal price, but 30% off all-in was good enough to push me over the edge.

Added the McGard tailgate lock. Stupid thing was binding up when the metal hose clamp part dug into the plastic. Had to take needle nose pliers and put a bit of a curve on the tip so it wouldn't do that and it tightened up OK after that.

Traded up! Went from a 2024 SR with MT. To a 2025 Sport with AT. They made me an offer I couldn't refuse...

Took off the TRD SPORT sticker. Driver’s side was a breeze. Passenger's side was a PITA. Sticker broke apart and left a ton of adhesive. But this stuff did the trick! Looks much cleaner now.

Decided to see how paint matching the emblem would go. Turned out pretty good.

Thank you! And yeah Santiago Peak, very fun offroad day trip!

Did a little post trip here: Trail was pretty busy, the stuff at the top is way gnarlier than OnXs "3/10" some guy in a stock TRD Sport crushed his predator steps on these:

    IMG_20250830_122056.jpg

The alternative route to the lookout wasn't much better LOL but a stock 4x4 SR can do it, just don't have steps I guess lol

Did they let you keep your wheels and tires from the ‘24? Congrats on the upgrade!
