Not even close. Married 31 years to my college sweetheart. That is what marriage is all about compromise. She gets to decorate the house and I get to decorate the garage

That’s cool. I was surprised you don’t have one of those spot free water filters.

Regarding the snake oil comment, do you think the Modesta products are snake oil? They’ve been around over a decade and are highly regarded.

Are water here is not really hard and I think really the advantage of the filtered water is making drying easier like you can just use a blower so I passed. You could add one with the way I had the piping run.

I think IF you are going to do Ceramic then Modesta and a couple other top brands (and more expensive) would be the way to go. I think Ceramic has a place but not really for a daily driver. If you have a weekend car, Cars & Coffee special, high end exotic then go for the ceramic. Once a month or so when you need to wash it, you have the detailer do it to protect the coating as best they can. For a daily driver and as often as I and many wash their cars/trucks it just doesn't last.

I had black C7 Corvettes with Modesta. I never bothered on a truck.

What wax do you like? I’ve been using Meguires polish and wax lately. Waiting for summer heat to subside then going to do my new 4runner.

Well I kind of like trying a bunch. For polishing I really like the Menzerna line up (3800 and 2500). It isn't the easiest to use from a wiping off stand point but I think it does a great job polishing. Wax I am a huge Collinite fan and actually been using Collinite 915 for some time. I then wipe on CarPro Reload over that. I obviously don't do that but twice a year. Mequires is good stuff and I like it as they make it all very user friendly in my mind. Easy on and easy off.

Today I installed 37/ 12.5 r17 bfg ko2’s and rrw rg1 17x8 +12 with the westcott collar lift on my TRD pro. Very minor trimming after proper alignment for street driving. Next step will be to remove the coilovers and fully clearance at bump from lock to lock. IMG_8518.jpg IMG_8519.jpg IMG_8521.jpg IMG_8522.jpg IMG_8523.jpg

I am looking at laser fit mats. Is there much difference between auto and manual for the mats? It says auto only

Yes, the auto will not fit on the manual if you want to use the clutch.

    Ark mud flaps installed.

How in the world did this truck ship with these pathetic, laughable, nubbins of an OEM mud flap? I've seen bigger chicken wings. The OEMs are on top of the Ark flaps lined up like they'd be on the truck in the pics.

These tiny toys are literally the mud flap size on a Honda Fit or a Hyundai Accent. This looks like an "oh shit we need to design mud flaps and we have 8 hours until the final proofs get turned in for approval."

Anyway, what a waste of money to get OEMs. Don't bother.

Front pic first, rear pic second.

New OEM windshield less than a month after receiving the truck and less than a couple weeks after tinting said windshield. Wasn't able to dodge a massive rock from a dump truck going over a mountain pass last weekend. I was a couple hundred feet back from the truck as well :crapstorm: About a $1,500 mistake.

Pulled the SiriusXM sticker off the passenger window. So many of my friends and family were very impressed that my truck came with satellite radio, even though it cuts out everywhere in the nation inexplicably, even though there’s clear line of sight to the sky…

if you think about it, most people don’t even know what SiriusXM is, or have ever driven a vehicle with it, because it is so high-tech, very rare, and a new, groundbreaking and industry leading technology… I had to flaunt to everyone that my mass produced truck has SiriusXM. I even took a picture of the sticker on the window and made that a primary post to my Myspace and Ask.com profile so everyone would know how cool I am.

Yeah so that sticker is gone.

They're large enough that you actually have to check the crosswinds before a trip and sometimes have to tack into the wind like a sailboat.
