I personally would have cut the ear / mounting tab off the speaker, vs hacking the dash...
    what speaker is that?

When I changed all my door speakers in my 2017 the biggest difference came from the tweeters. Gonna have to do this one.

Yeah. Had to shave the dash plastic under the speaker grill to get the tab to fit.

It such a small cab. I think the JBL system sounds totally fine. I do have the removable center speaker on my premium sport. But even the jbl system In the 3rd gen was fine.

haha maybe I’m just old now.

Yesterday I received my Carista adaptor. This morning I did the customizations. Much better!

Turned off annoying chimes, turned off augmented engine sound, increased blinker sound volume, long fob press to lower windows, etc.

All of these settings should be exposed via the UI on the big 14” screen. Forcing owners to go to a dealer or buy aftermarket products is lame.

Buts already loud.. and they seem to be decent quality with no distortion at high volume. Plus unlike decals they don’t add any hp’s

Look nice cant afford new wheels currently and have the plain steel ones on the sr. Do they have vinyl overlays for the OEM steel wheels?

how was the install? is it worth getting even for the JBLunit? I dont mind the JBL unit but i def think it could be louder, the bass is decent.

my understanding if youre ok with the bass, will definetely wake it up & make the system over louder.
Install is easy, beatsonic has a step by step video...
I was suppose to attempt to meet-up with "red head jess" & demo hers....
But decided im going all in & upgrading....

If you watch the video from beat sonic with the jbl. Mine was nothing like that, they show how you just put the amp to the right side in an opening. Mine didn’t have the open where the video showed, I ended up loosing the bolts that hold the jbl removable center speaker like @Sullivan0930 suggested. Then I pushed the amp straight back underneath that center speaker then over to the right a little and it’s a definite tight squeeze. I left the rear setting at 12 and the front around 2 and you can definitely tell a difference.

Here's a tighter photo of the Toyota Tacoma steps, and the Husky mud flaps.
