How was the change in tire size? Did it affect fuel consumption in any way? Did it affect acceleration? It feels a bit heavier and there seems to be a slight lack of acceleration.

Little bit of trimming and took off the crash bars in order to fit the 35's. I need it for off roading, if you need fuel efficiency then leave it stock.

I wonder what impact the upsize tires will have with hybrid? I'm guessing nothing that the all gas model wouldn't face. Tundra hybrid has been getting up size tires for two years now. Can't say I've seen anything crazy going on, and I have seen powerboosts on lift and tires.

That is sadly a deal breaker for me too. These were on my shortlist due to the weight and excellent interaction I had with the shop when I had a few questions. That's just too short. I get why they would be shorter than steel ones, but it leaves too much space in front of the wheel.

No rubbing at all. I did remove the crash pad. Just three clips and three bolts, prior to installing the 35s. Thanks Toyota for making it so easy to fit large tires.

Well after installing my Audiofrog GB 15 tweeters in the dashboard of my 4th gen Tacoma and feeling the need for more voice frequencies at the dashboard height; I bumped in to these Alpine S2 40 (4 inch Coaxials) and I think this will open a lot of ears out there for anyone looking for a fuller crispier sound.Hesitant at first not knowing if such a large speaker would fit but there is! No Cutting at all so this will open the option range if you’re in looking. I can say this is the closest best I’ve heard the Tacoma sound at the dashboard height.
Grant it I have an amp with the DSP processor but these speakers don’t need a lot of power

It's relatively painless. You remove 4 of 6 bolts, leave the remaining two on the frame but loose and the plate slides off. The holes are cut so you can set the plate in place over the bolts and then tighten them. It's a good design.
