Not actually today but cleaned it up for a photoshoot to help sell it for my pops. I may be biased but I love the look of a green truck!

I wanted a forest green? Tacoma so bad, but couldn't find one for sale after looking for 6-8 months. Settled for my Lunar Mist, and have no real regrets, but that green would have been the bomb.

I wanted black, looked for about the same amount of time, a few months in I realized I was gonna get whatever color came in a decently priced good condition truck. The red grew on me and when I eventually re paint it'll stay the factory color.

I guess I don't want to get caught with my dick in my hand and find out I need them later.

URD sim has def been on my mind ever since we talked about it. I thought the URD sim is only for the rear 02 sensor though, how does the front 02 sensor work with no cat? Did you end up just gutting the existing cat? I worry with an aftermarket exhaust and gutted cat's it's going to sound like complete ass. I like a quieter exhaust usually. Especially since I'm at 3500 rpm's cruising at 75 mph.

I get the P0420 code too. It is intermittent though. Seems to happen more during low speeds stuff like wheeling.

I do have only the downstream cat these days though. So I suspect that is the main cause. It started throwing that code after the upstream cat delete.

The rear o2 is the one that tosses the p0420 code, it pretty much just exists to make sure the cats are doing their job. Front sensor shouldn't be effected by running cat-less to my knowledge, nor will it realize they aren't there.

I used to get the 420 code all the time going down high mountain passes.
I'm pretty sure the upstream sensor is just telling the ecu to adjust your air fuel ratio. Wouldn't put a sim on it. Downstream is what monitors the converters.

Braved the salty roads to get stuff from home depot. Also went to the dump earlier to throw out some old cabinets and weighed my truck on the scale - it's 3,780 lbs empty.

I don’t really mind it, thought about painting it black but the other white paint is in really good condition.

Tacomas have an upstream (Monitors A/F ratio) downstream is only monitoring from the cats. The SIM is only for the rear because the ECU needs the readings from the upstream for proper conditions.

You'll see the price difference when you shop upstream vs downstream. Yup both cats are hollowed out but still use them as a place holder. With a nice muffler, there isn't much rasp, most notable is a deeper tone.
