I may be wrong but the rubber gaskets on top of the coils look upside down

the cutouts on the rubber gasket go over the bottom ends of the studs right?

Yeah, it fit much better that way. The lip of the gasket doesn't exactly fit inside the spring, but looking at the old ones, it seems like there was the same problem. I'm sure it'll settle in. You reckon I have the collar clocked the right way? It seems like some orientations make it better to slot the strut through the top. Although the instructions say to keep it perpendicular with the lower strut bolt.

    Here we go again.
I just finished the last of the list of things to do.

I don't know what the other driver was thinking, but I didn't want to rearend the small car, I couldn't go around because if on comming traffic and he blocked apart of the emergency Lane. So I headed down the embankment.

People said it was the other guys fault and now for the kicker. The insurance company won't pay because I didn't hit the other car...

Some of the things done in the past three years, paint and bodywork, bumpers, stereo, engine, turbo, intercooler, stand alone ecu, vx80 land cruiser solid axel coil spring suspension.20210220_174545.jpg 20210220_181143.jpg 20210221_120811.jpg received_419194699239438.jpg received_214747476825110.jpg received_740516096360007.jpg received_565608820924417.jpg

Fight it, buy it back and swap a fresh body on it or cage. Looks like you have put a ton of time into it, hate to see it wasted.

Gave the truck some new oil and finally installed the additional leaf that alcan sent to me about 2 years ago to correct the taco lean. Now I’m leaning toward the passenger but it will settle quick.

Shit. Guess the moral of the story is no good deed goes unpunished; hit the car.

Damn dawg. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully there were some witnesses that could maybe help you fight it?
With all that work you have into it, I would just swap on a new body onto it. Still a ton of work for just that.

The insurance won't oay because I didn't hit the car that cause the accident.

I found a nice clean body.
My friend will paint it and do all of the work.

Well some of the police here (thailand) think if you weren't here it wouldn't have happened.

A friend got rear-ended at a redlight, he is having to pay $15k us to the family and the girl on the motorcycle was drunk.. she died

This is some backwards a$$ thinking, right there.

Its the same logic that if someone injures themselves trespassing or even burglarizing your property, they can sue you and win.

I’ll take pics tonite. Hope it looks better than stock with my switchbacks and led marker bulbs.
