Any issues with the alignment afterwards? Can the SPC be fine tuned or are do they only have a limited number of set points?

I've done a mod or two
It's limited in the sense that you get x amt of degrees and increments. But being incremental and not infinitely variable is why they're not weak at holding an alignment too.

Go to the Firestone down the street, I went to one that tore my rack boot didn't give me a replacement and didn't align it

The one across town gave me the complaint number and fixed it right up the next day, I took it to them many times and never had a problem

How did your alignment turn out? You're really limited on the SPC's with castor adjustment and even Camber. Did you get it dialed in good? Or just have to live with it?

out here in so cal we got a group of vets who do it old school style. No machines. Chalk and all. These guys did it with JBA uppers and aftermarket parts installed. They dialed it in just right!

sure but he locked is LCAs in place. No adjustment there. The SPC UCAs have adjustment just not a ton. So it is possible he doesn't have a perfect alignment no matter who does it just given the nature of the the restrictions. Plus its much more a PITA to do adjustments. So my question still stands.

Over the weekend but lil brother stopped by to help me start making room for bigger tires.

Inner fender needs to get massaged and still have to contour the bumper among others, but it's a start

Working on my invisible springs. 20210524_110312.jpg

I'm thinking about cutting my exaughst ,It's hitting the springs. Any suggestions on the best place to cut? I'm planning on doing a shock relocation soon so I want to keep that in mind too.
I got a new tent for the end of my shell too. I gotta mess with the fit a little but it looks like it will work.

I chopped mine after it turns down over the rear axle. Some say it's not ideal because it puts out a lot of heat under the truck around the frame and springs, but living in a dry climate rust isn't something I have to worry about. Keeps it well clear of the springs and from getting smashed on the trail

Well I'm definitely in a dry climate too. I was consered about exaughst gasses when idling of going supper slow on the trail. And I don't want to heat up my shocks.

I've had my rear Icons for nearly 45k miles on now with the exhaust dump there and they're still going strong, for what it's worth

I had a similar experience when I first installed my SPCs. Basically told them to not worry about the UCA and do it like you normally would. Been doing my own ever since. Hoping to waste there time someday see how accurate my diy process is.

It's really not that bad, especially with the SPCs. Makes getting the camber a whole lot easier.

I'm sure he's fine. My cams aren't locked but I don't need to adjust them having them crossed for max castor. Camber adjustment at the upper is maxed though.

your doing +5º on the SPCs? How the hell are you not just rubbing the hell out of the fire wall?

I'm sure it's possible. Im more looking for confirmation it is as I want to do this.

I'll know this Friday when I get it aligned. I'll just live with it if it isn't perfect, not a huge deal to me. I'd rather not have to get it aligned all the time.
