So far so good. I like how removable it is when you want a different look--and it's cheap ~$5 a can. My buddy is going for the same look except he's getting lineX on his--- $600+

Wasnt yesterday but a little while ago the last thing I did was put 17x9 Gear Alloy Recoil Rims with Cooper Discoverer AT3 rubbers on. Getting a new rack and pinion, tie rods and ball joints tomorrow. Looking to replace front struts and rear leaf springs with either a kit that includes replacement both + lift or trying to get at least a 2-3'' lift to replace. Any ideas?

*My leaf springs are flat, not smiley-faced, but flat, almost Rainbowed. Looking for advice / ideas to find a 2-3" lift thats economical :)

Some pics for your viewing pleasure :D Please let me know what you think

^^^ Look up 3 posts :) I love my DBL cab and wouldnt want it any other way. I got 2 10" P1 subs in the floorboard but I can still carry 5 people if needed.

The only thing i dont like about the double cabs is they only came in an auto and the bed is pretty damn short

Good points but they fixed that with the 08" with the full bed DBL cabss, course theyre not 1st gens though. I dont really haul much and not much of a shifter but overall i prefer them better than xtra cabs or single cabs just in overall look. I mean if you really want a manual you could swap it :D

so its just a self preference... i can see that it would be cool having 4 seats for more peeps, especially if your a father. i just thought it was better to off road. :D for me i need the 6 feet of my bed to load camping stuff, motorcycle, and whatever else. :) just last weekend i ended up sleeping on the back of my truck and it was awesome.

Good points too. You could always put the tailgate down and its adds another ft or so for laying down :) Im not so sure a DBL cab would be better for Offroad. Id think that the longer wheelbase would make it less climbable i guess idk if thats a term. It would have a longer reach but would also make it more prone to getting stuck on the bars than say your Taco Trokita.

I think the bedspace would be ok if the tailgate down with straps to hold your stuff in would work or enough to have your motorcycle fit and still be secured with the back tire on the tailgate

I think the extended cab and double cab have the same length wheelbase. not 100% sure though

ya i too don't like that its really small, but the auto..... i like it especially when going on trails, its a huge difference and more comfortable when hitting the trails especially in places where you have to be careful and up hill.
ive been going up AF canyon for the past 2 weeks with different groups and for what ive seen, ppl with Manuel trans look to be more stressed out at the end of the trail run then the peeps with auto, i like manuel and when im in the city i wish i had manuel cause i race little hondas and other trucks fridays and saturday nights. but when im on the trail, FOR ME i prefer auto to enjoy the ride :)

Paid $85 for tags this year. Emissions is required every other year but all they ever do is plug into the ODBII port to see if the ECU has stored codes. Cost $15 last year to test it.
