Now I just need to put the skid plate on and it’s done till I swipe my card in a winch

Started working on changing my interior black. Vinyl wrapping the bigger hard plastics. Will probably paint some of the smaller stuff. Recovering the arm rest.

To make it easier to deal with bearings going out, I'm refurbishing a second set of spindles. That way when I have a bearing go out I can just swap in the other set and replace the bad bearing when I have a chance.

These spindles will get a freash set of bearings, dust seals, etc after we get everything cleaned up and weld in the gussets.

I finally got around to using my 3M headlight restore kit. I think it's definitely worth doing if your headlights are 18 years old, and yellow as a daisy, like mine where. I spent a little extra time sanding, and polishing the final steps. The only thing I changed, was I used a can of Dupli Color Clear coat instead of the included wipes that come with the kit. heres a few pics. It's not perfect, but driving at night should be better, I'll test that theory out tomorrow night.

One Last pic, I finally got the grill put back on. The plastic tabs that lock it on, gave me a fit trying to figure out exactly how they were supposed to work. spent about 40 frustrating minutes until I figured it out, then bang, grill went on it without a hitch.

Didn’t do a thing but buy it today. 1996 mt 4x4. Gunna serve as a great beach truck. Fame is in near perfect condition and other than the paint being wrecked, it only has a few minor defects that I was able to see. Runs great, shifts great and will be an awesome new addition next to the 3rd gen. Don’t plan to do any heavy mods other than upgrading the lighting and some sort of rack to mount an awning. Guess my only good option for the awning is some type of bed rack/ladder rack huh?
