Yota’s need a “check frame” light instead.

I forgot to make a post, but about a week ago I had to scrape/grind/reform/paint/scream-at my entire frame. I couldn’t have been more than a couple years of neglect from losing the truck so just one more reason to thank chrust for tw.

Didn’t get many good before&after pictures as I was too busy, selfishly working away. But if anyone has questions I’m happy to find links.

Please disregard the busted-ass concrete in pictures.

Just ordered cloth Corbeau seats https://corbeau.com/sport-seat/ and most likely will be selling my brand new Cipher racing seats right after. Man only had these damn Ciphers in for like 2 month and did not even sit on them since they were always covered with sheep fur :)

My hope is new Corbeau seats will be less bolstered.

I used a 0.25” spacer between the bracket and the spindle to clear my hardline from the spindle gusset. It is still a tight fit as you can see in this post:

Got the TC rack bushing installed, hopefully they last longer! But damn it’s crazy how much better the steering feels with brand new bushing. 6A15418D-E6C6-406F-B368-54AE69C800F0.jpg

Installed a winch. Had a friend fabricate a bracket for it. I finished up today by relocating my turn signals up next to the headlights. That way I could mount my license plate in pretty much the only place left. I never liked having the turn signals in the bumper. Kept getting abused, wires breaking and such from rocks and mud hitting the back side of the light housing.

U have to remove the rack, but not completely. Just disconnect it from the mounting points, and I'm pretty sure you can also leave it connected to the tie rods. It's a pain in the ass job

Added some reinforcement plates to the step bars I picked up from @DashMaple

Solid AF, now. Plus, my frame doesn't have divots from the fasteners anymore.

Made a little run to up to Kisatche national forest in north Louisiana yesterday to do some hiking, found a couple light trails, realized how annoying manual hubs are with a front lunchbox locker but overall good times

Yep, just bend the bracket a bit and you'll be fine. Several have done it. @Fuergrissa was the first, I think.

Shout if you need a kit. 'Tis a bummer, I was in the bay area for 2 weeks until today and had a bunch of kits with me!

Are those planted brackets for sale (how much? feel free to PM) And are they for bucket or 60/40 bench mounts?

The OEM seats are great... for on pavement and non-4x4 activities. Easy to just slide in and break the side cover.
After Moab 2017 and sliding around with my knees against the door card and the dash to stop me from sliding off the seat, I was determined to upgrade the seats.

Fortunately I had a single Recaro SRD with a Wedge engineering seat bracket mount.
It takes a bit to get used to as far as seating position and height, BUT with unlimited tilt up/back, its the best I've sat in and wheeled in.
The seat belt mount is a bit wonky but it's set for me, not anyone else.
It's tight but it works well.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
4 named trails in 3 days. Plus a whole bunch of miles on some gnarly, rarely used fire roads to get from one trail to the other.

Easily did 120 miles of trail this weekend.

Corral Hollow (I'd say moderate +)
Bailey Ridge (easy - more of just a portage between Corral Hollow and Sourgrass)
Sourgrass (I'd say modesrate + only because it's relatively short 1.5 mile out 1.5 back)
Niagara Rim (This one is a definate trail)

ZERO bypasses were taken this weekend

Way too many pictures taken this weekend to post now, cause I'm beat.

    @betterbuckleup

I don’t recommend removing material from the gusset, as you’ll just be weakening the gusset. Just work around it.

There probably a few different ways to do this, here’s mine.

Just modified the soft line mounting bracket. Add a new hole, made a spacer and longer hardware. Sorry pics kinda suck, it’s all I got as I don’t have the truck anymore :anonymous:

The problem soft line bracket interferes with gusset.
    787F70C9-1683-4B54-B97D-30DF7F711EC5.jpg

Drill a new hole(one in the middle), cut material to stack and shim bracket and find spacer thickness.

    55C989B0-23BD-4279-949D-398F1F406574.jpg

    Confirming fitment with spacer thickness
    18FEE61D-1061-4182-BD0E-D478CEB60D90.jpg

Welded the spacer to the bracket, and got a longer fastener to get some thread protrusion.

    Go for the kit.
