Replaced the steering rack, rebooted both CVs, changed the oil, and got an alignment. Should be good to go for death valley trip tomorrow.

It’s a Racor one, picked it up second hand, had some issues with the cable spooling weird, but got it sorted for the most part. I need to get a cheap corded drill to work mine, my cordless gets super hot trying to pull it up

Yep. Burnt out a porter cable cordless using it, but worked great with a Milwaukee. Again, only problem I had was the cables wanting to unseat the pully's when not loaded. Other than really watching and guiding the cables when not loaded, it worked great.

:p Put in 17.073 gallons, 45 miles later.

My mileage log was stolen from the truck in 2011, and I hadn't transferred any data to the spreadsheet since 2003 - though, to be fair, I drove only 22K miles in those 8 years. I put most of the miles on my CBR600F2 during that time.
    upload_2021-11-23_20-23-29.jpg

I was curious about this too, actually. Went back and looked at the various photos I've taken of the ODO, which are only sort of at "normal" intervals. First one was @ 60K in July, 2016. So, not quite 150K in 5 years, but closing in on it. I'll be out ahead of you by Feb is my guess...

Yeah, quite a jump after the "Tour." Guess that means I should blame-thank you for all the money and fuel I've put into this thing. :luvya:

Don't worry, we all know you're higher, and supercharged forever. But I dunno, maybe counting the ODO past say 489K is a little presumptuous. :p Just joshing ya, I still have a ways to go to 489K, but I sure hope to hit it!

I'm still on my original clutch, so I figure that's pretty good.
