Awaiting my upper controls arms and spring compressor to come in to do the lift. Ended up buying a Vevor compressor instead of paying $700 for the shop to do it. I feel like I’m checking the tracking 500 times a day lol.

Meanwhile, got the vintage Toyota decals in to go on the corners of the shell.

Wish my GPA was as high as the gas prices.
Hmm well, I came outside today and realized I've procrastinated for far too long and now I have a much bigger problem on my hands. Does anyone who has installed SafeTCaps recommend them?

That might be beyond a SafeTCaps save honestly. Plus you should be taking a hammer to the rest of the frame to check it as Im sure there are other spots.

I've done a mod or two
420 code rarely has anything to do with evap, it's almost exclusively a bad downstream O2 sensor or a bad catalytic converter.

So I'm regretting no just putting In a new power sterering pump while I had everything apart. Sounds like a bad baring, it's either the pump or my alternator . It's not wining or chirping. Just sounds like a lot of chattering . Like a bad skateboard bearing.
Anyone know were the cheapest place to get oem pumps?

Got restrictor off ebay ( landautopartdo was sellers name i believe)
Had the p0420 code fault was bad downstream 02, replaced it with a denso unit same code came back but now read insufficient cat ( converters werent doin there job ) there are no smog tests or emission testing here so using the restrictor basically fools computer that converters are doin there job. It works very well light went out on its own on second drive cycle. Cost was about $75 cdn.
Cant afford oem converters and aftermarket ones only last a few years and code comes back. Used other restrictors in the past by vibrant but they were for 02 that have a threaded bung.

What is the purpose of doing this? I'm just curious and trying to learn how to work on my first gen.

It moves the O2 sensor out of the direct flow of exhaust gases, which in turn tricks it into thinking the catalytic converter is running more efficient (cleaner) than it truly is.
