I've already hammered there too, and closer to the battery than I would like, so I think it will need to be moved. Plus what's left of my inner fenders is falling apart, so less weight up there can't hurt.

Both my batteries are in the bed now, although I’m starting to over-index on weight in the rear as my rear axle is carrying about 60% of the weight of the truck.

Yeah, would've probably picked something else if there were other options in that size.

The 35x10.50 Kendas were tempting for sure, but a little to skinny IMO.

Why? I find the 33x10.5s wide enough. Widers than my255s by a good margin.

No 12.5s though, that's what I want haha

12.50s are too wide, 10.50 are too skinny, 11.50s are just right

I’ve heard good things about it, but I’m sick and tired of using back to black every time I wash my truck, so I just decided to send it.

I’m stoked how the truck looks in them. Any recommendations on what I should do to it next? I’m thinking a bed liner and maybe led fog lights? But idk for sure

Finally got around to pressing out the hubs/bearings from a pair of ADD knuckles which I picked up from @CayucosTacoma (2 freaking years ago! FFS). Time to clean up the knuckles and get them prepped/painted. Parts still coming in but feeling good about finally getting started on this conversion. I don't have ABS and don't want to hack up the ABS sensor wires (I'm sure someone out there is looking for them).

Going to give these OE rear axle plug caps a try and see if they fit the knuckles.
EDIT: The OE Rear Plug caps DO NOT fit.

I've done a mod or two
It's on my list right now too, but I have a plan to remove the cubbies in the ext cab and make that a taller enclosed space where I can store the batteries (house and starting) and all the important wiring boxes (ml-acr and Bussmann) also only going to run a baby Odyssey PC680 as a starting batt

OK, this is a great idea. Wish I'd thought of it when I was building my battery/electrical cabinet. Be a little weird with the rug, but I suppose if it's permanent, you could just trim the rug at the point where it goes under whatever you build in there.

Can't wait to see what you do.

I don't know if you've ever checked out this guy's build, I think he sold his truck before you created an account here actually... But I've always really liked how he designed his cubbies and I think I'm going to mimic that. I'm not really sure what he's stored in there but the hatches he used look like they're big enough to put a battery through and before I assemble the sides and everything I can put bracketry in there. Or maybe I can just put the whole top on a hinge too so you don't always have to open a little hatch

I've always read that in a dual battery situation with the ml-acr that is best practice to have matching (age, capacities and charging profiles) batteries. It'll be interesting to see how this pans out. As a starting battery, the smaller footprint of the pc680 is certainly appealing.
