yeah, but if the frame is tweaked a bit that distance can be the same still if the frame isn't square. The driver side could be curved in at some point basically.

Or like Dan said the leaf springs are fucked up, which is possible too.

Speaking of, I heard that early 90s Isuzu pickups and Amigos used to swap front bumpers from the same era 4Runners with little modifications. So.. could a TJM bumper built for an Amigo be put on my Tacoma if I fabricated some brackets, or are the dimensions off?
Wondering if it’s worth the trip to go measure

I was going to post them this weekend. Throw me an offer and see if we can work it out. I have all of the brackets and bolts with it as they all came out

To answer your question. Here’s a pic for you. I think it should be fine. I only had contact with the front lower corner of the flare & bed. I ended up just mounting the oem rear mudflaps temporarily till I get some husky liners to fit in permanently. Last thing I want to do is shoot in salty slush into that back corner and start the rusting..

I know someone on 37’s with this bumper and he didn’t cut the wing back at all.

Have you cycled your suspension? Depending on the length of your shackles, it looks like you are going to interfere with the bumper at full stuff.

I’ve got 1/2” lift shackles. It’s goin on the jackstands tomorrow and will tuck it fully. I was limited in time with watching the 3 year old today, so I dealt with cutting where I know I would contact.

it’s tough to tell from the picture, but I have faith. Bad angle, plus that bulky mud flap.

Run it, flex it, trim it. The rear is hard to flex in a garage and trim it all. Just run it and when it runs, make note and cut it later. Not the end of the world.

Dakar leafs gave me just over 2” and I added the 1/2 arb lift shackles since a buddy had them lying around.

Double checked coastal site and saw this. I know everyone’s geometry is different, but I feel like I should just be able to squeak through. Worst case once on the trail I’d remove the mud flap and gain over 1/2” there.

100% agree.. we’ve got massive snow piles from grading my street, so I was trying to ride up and stuff it as much as possible there.. I’ve gone back 3 times to fire up the ol zipdisk and take a bit more off the front of the rear flares/ bedside. Then back… my neighbour thinks I’m crazy.

Front I’ll do proper like everyone mentioned. Remove the coilover and cycle. Cut. Cycle. If it clears, cut another 1” back… start welding.

You've got a good plan. I wouldn't add the 1inch though. As it stands, you'll be cutting back to the lower door hinge just to clear what you have. You shouldn't have to worry about the pedal box area since you don't have a clutch. I would pull your suspension and bump stops for when you cycle at full lock. After all my work the only place I rub is the frame and full stuff on things like woops and whiskey ditches because I left my bumps on :anonymous:

10-4! Thanks for the advice. I’m not the most mechanically inclined person, but reading all this gold on here has helped greatly since day1 of owning this truck.
