I got one of those mbrp dump behind rear wheel exhausts. worst ever. Its rated for 18-23 year olds only. 25-30/35 magnaflow. 35 and up, the biggest can that you can fit under the truck!

Anyone every told you that you're a shit disturber? Haha. Yeah it's no secret I think the 3.4 sounds like the agonizing drone of a dying bovine. Silent is how I prefer it, I have Thrush Turbo muffler on mine and it makes it really bassy but I can't hear anything else.

My ebrake cable has been seized up for awhile now, had to take it apart at the drum on one side. Pretty sure is froze where it runs along the frame to the back axle.

Tips on freeing it up or easier just to replace?

aero/jones 2525xl with a cat for exhaust. mines side exit before rear axle and its loud enough that I have to turn my music up just a bit. VERY close to the original TRD muffler I had on the truck sound wise

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
The best exhaust mod on a 3.4 is a 4.7 swap

I might try whipping it around or twisting it, but it could be rusted solid on the inside.

This is how mine is. I can hear it in the cab where I feel like I have a race truck but no matter how hard I romp on it my buddies could not hear me rolling up to camp in the middle of the night (Though admittedly a little disapointed in that too). Nothing like @Reh5108 playing the sounds of his people in Rabbit Valley while @jubei @Squeaky Penguin and @Tacofire98 stand around the fire cracking up at how loud his exhaust is.

Exit is a huge factor on loudness too. My side exit behind the cab has far less drone than when it was dumped in front of the axle, even before the exhaust cracked in half.

Very true, my old TRD one was a turn down before the rear axle, this one is side exit before rear axle. Other was wayy too loud.

As long as its from same year or newer and includes all that years smog equipment, it is legal!

mY 2.7 has a longtube with only 1 cat and a flowmaster. It has a turn down running over the rear axle..How do these truck sounds with the open muffler no turndown.

gonna be worse, turndown at least somewhat directs sound out, more vibes, rattles and drone without it. At least that was my experience doing it.

That setup is exactly what my truck had when I still had a 3RZ... I tried it open headers once... well for half a trip really... it was bad ask @m3bassman. Like a Honda Civic but someone turned up the volume, still just as offensive sound wise haha

There was one trip we were camped up a canyon and Ryan arrived late. No joke we could hear him coming for 10+ minutes. Good thing it's quieter now.

My truck was too loud with just an 18" magnaflow IMO. After adding the ultra quiet resonator it's perfect.
