So much this. My wife has had a few. '09 forester currently. Constantly goes through head gaskets and eats oil like no other. I have to add a quart of oil at every fill up. I didn't check it for a couple weeks and seized the engine. Got a rebuilt engine put in and it eats just as much oil as the first one. This one and the 2 before it have been a constant pain in the ass.

Coilovers, sway bars, wheels, tires, extended studs, intake, head and taillights, seats, short shifter,
Sanded down the epoxy on my hood. It flattened out pretty well. I also went back and sanded the entire hood to make it more even.

This is the hood wet. Hopefully it looks half as good once I clear coat it lol

Nice!! Well I just pulled the fuse and called it a day. Looks so much better. If I really miss the horn I can wire it up to a momentary switch somewhere else… but probably not since I have a garage of stuff to install still..

Finally bit the bullet and brought some 3rd Gen 4 Runner Seats

Used the rails replacement method. Only had to switch the outside rails from the Tacoma to the 4 Runner seats.

    pretty straightforward
Grind off bump stop in front foot and two little ones in the back, slide out the bearings
Reverse the process to slide the tacoma rails on to the 4 Runner seats.

    Much more comfortable!

Plan on doing leather next spring

Only had them out a couple times, but so far I really like them. Only issue is pumping them up takes some time/effort (my laziness gets the best of me so electric pump is ordered). I was laying down on mine and could hear a tiny leak but nothing that caused noticable deflating. Otherwise though, it is really nice being able to have them and that they fit in the setup we have. Still have room for the dogs!

Yeah definitely looks like they pack down nicely.

It's a whole lotta stuff. It was an all pro expo rack that was designed for a second gen. It was then covered with a custom canvas, and at some point had a back door but not when I bought it. I cut the rails off and built rails that fit a first gen tacoma and then made my own modifications to it beyond that.
