Installed set of N fab nerf bars made for a 2nd gen. I custom fabricated some heavy brackets. Thought turned out nice. Also installed 3 inch chrome Bull bar week ago Jim85FBCC39-C4B1-46E4-9236-DFE7D6F3C99A.jpgDCCCEA09-D7C1-4C9E-B44B-7CCE3F074BD0.jpg DCCCEA09-D7C1-4C9E-B44B-7CCE3F074BD0.jpg 8E8431BE-EAD4-4674-A58A-21E0DC2E5A05.jpg

I have a center console question: I removed my old center console and installed the later gen center console. I’m not sure where the holes line up too. I have the new bracket. If someone can help me out. Please….

This is my old center console.

This is where the holes are but only two.

Glad I could save you some money. These splash guards are very impressive looking, nice thick material. But it seems that they tear very easily, which is really a shame. I'm going to contact the company with some photo's and see what they have to say about it.

That extra inch has been nice for a shock relocate and stuffing an intercooler under the hood. Only thing I regret is using the shitty bed mounts and not making my own before they destroyed the bed xmember.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

I'm not understanding the part about the bed mounts, woukd you have reinforced them? Or, fabricated completely new ones?

You're talking about the mounting points on the bed correct?

They were little 1" square spacers. Not enough surface area to distribute the load on the xmember. This can also happen with the factory mounts but the daystar bed spacers exacerbate it. 20180627_124035.jpg 20180627_124058.jpg

Ok, I get it now. So you would have fabricated something else that distributed the weight better.

I can see where it would be nice to add some tire clearance... front and back. Would make it so I wouldn't have to tub as much in front. as well as allow me to add an inch to my distance at my bumps in the back (bumps are set in back to keep tire from the fender, not because of shock up travel).

Would also add some space above my winch, to make easier to get to the F/R lever, and just generally make that space easier, for lights etc.

Would also allow me to do my rear facing winch idea, I've been looking at trying out. (would make it easier anyway).

But, do I want to add another inch to my height? lol

I did it the lazy way and didn't even use the bracket. 2 holes, 2 bolts and done...

Finally got my shit-kicker into the shop for alignment after the suspension work. Rode like crap after.

Discovered I made another mistake in having wheelers put the Bilstein 5100s at the top notch instead of the bottom with their T1 coils. Now gotta wait till the shop has a bit to drop them down to where they're supposed to be.

Lesson learned, just wish these lessons weren't so costly, lol.

3 steps forward, one step back. Hoping nothing else comes up on it (knock on wood).

I got my 5100's from wheelers. Ome 881 springs set on the lowest setting, let the springs do the lift, 2". Rides great.
