I was all about the F5’s until the BR6’s came out. The F5’s still look great, don’t get me wrong. But the BR6 has that perfect symmetry, and the more angular lines match my truck better imo.

Matte gunmetal with flat black OMF beadlocks and custom center bore.

Wasn't aware curiousity was considered anger now a days.

The spatter is annoying but don't think it would be much of an issue being that you're welding on the opposite side to where the cam sits.

It's not I'm just giving you shit. Flux core has its place, I don't bust it out unless I'm welding outdoors and there are literally no other options present.

Looked under the truck couple days ago and found a slow leak from the steering rack and a CV axle slinging grease. Just dropped $570 on a new steering rack from McGeorge.
    :spending:

I rebooted the axles about two years ago, not sure if I messed something up or if that's just how long I can expect from a reboot. Looking at the moderate angle CVJ axles, but it seems like it's my outer boot leaking and the axles from CVJ use OEM outer boots so I'm not sure if that would be less likely to leak.

Finally got around to putting sound deadener on the passenger door. Put in new door lock while I was at it, on both driver's and passenger doors. Steering wheel cover done, the Wheelskins take a while but they certainly don't slide around, and summer is coming in Tucson. Also, switch panel is in.20220507_124155.jpg 20220507_105322.jpg 20220507_105332.jpg

I think it was 200 per wheel for the conversion, plus shipping. So maybe 1200 all told for a set of 5.

We never talk about stock FJ wheels but they look good on there. What PSI do you have to run fat tires at on those to get the center and sides to wear together

All this cam tab gusset talk has me convinced to never help anyone put these on like I have a few locals asking me to. Besides the fact that I only have an inferior flux core welder, which oddly doesn't throw too much spatter, they look like a total PITA.
