I definitely heard how nice it sounds. But I think I would want to shorten it like someone did in another thread, and I would want to get a better fitted shifter boot. Eventually I want to triple stick and get a custom shifter boot made for that so likely it will all happen around the same time. I typically stack shit like that to try to do it all at once.

I just wish they had one for the W59. I asked and they said they have no plans to.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

AnonymousFab and Solo Motorsports have. They are just pricey. Solo's setup is STUPID EXPENSIVE, but I believe it's the route I'll eventually end up taking.

Testing bolts is reasonably easy, we'll be posting some results soon on our webpage and on IG. It's quite interesting already!

Testing actual ball joints is a much more difficult task, we'll leave that to the Anonymous Fab folks :).

WOW!!! I don't think my wallet can handle that Solo kit.
My cart is at $5975.00!!! And that does not include upper or their lower control arms.

LOL... I said it was STUPID EXPENSIVE

I'd be looking at around 12K to do everything. Sucks, cause you cant really do it piece at a time. Everything pretty much needs something else to make it work

LBJs have to have the Spindles, the Spindles have to have custom CVs, etc

My plan is to just start buying it piece at a time and when I have everything, swap it out. Or, I could take a second out on the... ya, with interest rates the way they are, that's not a good idea... plus it would get me killed by the wife.

But... Going Solo Motorsports, all in... that's about as bomb proof as you're going to get an IFS 1st Gen Tacoma.

    12k....OOOF
Why not just SAS at that point. You could do both f&r axles for that much I'd think

And the 12K is without doing anything to the rear end :pout:lol

I could SAS for about half what it would cost what I want to do. But... I'm not going to SAS this truck. Solid Axle is for another build someday. (Toyota Truck or an FJ40 or something)

For now, my truck does what I want it to do. When I get the LT going it'll be awesome, but I'm in no real hurry.

    Thats not true.

You can run the spindles with anything. They bolt in like stock ones and will work with any LT kit or OEM arms or mid travel kit.

The LBJ's are the only part that needs the spindles.

And you do not need custom CVs, the OEM ones work just fine or the tundra ones with LT.

And YES you do need RCV axles for their spindles

Just looked they must have changed that. Used to be when the Dana 44 hub design came out you could do either. But they must have stopped doing that. I'd bet they would still make them with toyota hubs though if you asked. You'd probably have to provide some spindles for a core.

The entire point that I (personally) would want their spindle... aside from a better LBJ. Would be to get away from our dumb press fit bearing.

I'd rather have the Dana 44 hub that's more easily servicable.

And... I could still run manual hubs with a D44 hub

I'd imagine it would be difficult to test with everything being equal. Moog shit all over OEM in my truck for whatever it's worth. OEM were every year and I still have a Moog going 3 years later after having one of each installed.

    Careful man... you're talkin heresy.

Heretics get burned alive... you're not entitled to an opinion, or given opportunity to site specific personal experience if it goes against the established, religious, doctrine of the Toyota Lower Ball Joint.

    Here.jpg

Even though the entirety of the Lower Ball Joint designed by Toyota is a complete piece of shit, so much so it was involved in a recall and completely redesigned for the next generation.

Don't question the ToYaTa EnginEErs :duh:
