Welcome to the club, :) I’ve got probably 35,000 miles on my haltech.
The midrange is amazing for me from 2k-4k,
I picked up an extra 62lbs of torque alone just in this rpm section over stock ECU,
Loving every mile with the new power!

Is the Haltech setup to control the trans too?

    Transmission Control (haltech.com)

Interested if a full ECU replacement is possible vs the typical parallel piggy configuration.

I believe a full ECU replacement is possible to control both the motor and trans. I'm still using the stock ECU to control the trans though. I'm happy with my shifting so I didn't see the need to dive into that.

I've done a mod or two
Not what he's asking, none of the options presented currently are off the shelf PnP ready for trans control, though if you have a Haltech 2000/2500 or a 750 and a PD16, you could wire it up and set it up for trans control yourself. As it is right now, all of them are using the stock computer for trans control and if they have an 03/04 they're using it for throttle body control too.

Which brand of UCA that is "generic" but made by SPC? Hard to search for that here without getting a bunch of "actual" SPC hits...

Don’t quote me on it, but I believe you’re looking for the adjustable arms on rockauto. And they’re the TW discount code.

Pretty sure the adjustable mevotech UCAs have been out of stock on rockauto for a while now. I could be wrong

Packing my truck to go wheeling next week and my damn tailgate cable broke. I ordered a new one and then $200 worth of suspension brackets from Barnes 4wd to make me feel better.
