    I have heard a lot of bad things about the Optima's here lately. We are a Exide dealer so I got it for a pretty good deal. That battery is their 78DTXCD. It has 750CCA, 100 min reserve, dual terminal, non-spilable/AGM and it's a deep cycle/cranking.

    I've heard good thing about their deep cycle/orbital batteries and we have no issues with their regular batteries that we sell so I figured I would give it a try.

    What do you think of this battery?

    I'm assuming this is a deep cycle battery like the yellow top, correct?

    And 50 lbs? Is that insane or has it been that long since I picked up a battery?

    The Odyssey batteries are beastly as hell. But I think highly of them. Money well spent if you run a lot of auxiliaries or a winch. For the average guy, not so much.
