A couple months ago I took a week off and did some work to the truck. I clay barred after I was done because it sat for months under a tree and had black dots all over it from sap. That left streaks all over the hood that looked terrible. Today I dropped it off at a professional detailer to fix the mess I made. They used a cutting wax, clay bar and buffed it. I must say, it wasn’t this shiny when I bought it 7 years ago at the dealership.

Ha, you don’t want me doing it. It looked so bad originally after I clay barred it I thought that I’d done permanent damage.

The white is single stage, so a completely different beast. Always hard to clay, buff, polish etc. You have to cut a ton of oxidization off first, then buff, then polish. Always careful to not cut too much and bleed into the primer. It's an art for sure.

Lipstick on a pig right here. Did this a couple weeks ago, didn’t post pics. Moderately embarrassing. All I wanted was to be able to mount this neat bracket. I’m fine with it.

Battery bracket bolt seized in the nut, extractor bit broke off in that. Nigh impossibru to drill out. So original plan was to just swap out the old support with an eBay replacement, but I couldn’t get the old one out. Seems like it’s welded in or something. So I just cut out the old bolt and riveted on that section of the new support over it. Put some grease between the layers just in case. Now I can mount that purty bracket.

New rear shocks are on. Old vs new comparison:

Can someone please tell me what wire goes to what on the cs144 alternator. I wired it up long ago but trying to confirm if this is correct or not. On the factory harness I have:

    1 thick yellow
    2 thin yellow
    1 red

I don't have the thick yellow going to anything is that wrong?

Got my new stereo installed. Went with a Boss. Sounds a million times better than the ATOTO.

Are you using the head units amplifier? I'm in the middle of installing the ATOTO S8 but using only the preouts

The F7 Pro didn’t have an internal amp. I set the equalizer and added an external amp. It was so low powered that the amp didn’t do much of anything. When the system would turn off, it would make a loud pop through the speakers. Once I installed the Boss and tuned it, it’s like night and day between the two. The new HU has a lot more power from the get go.

Blacked out the grill, installed new 1 piece headlights, and did the A-pillar phone mount mod I found in the forums.

Is the the main charge wire that goes on the positive post on alternator? Where did the wire come from? You had to of unhooked it from something. I used a premade adapter so it was plug and play.

Ya bro I know your thread well youre awesome but I'm still confused as I've seen it done a couple ways. I've had mine wired like in the photo for like 4 years. In the process of redoing all my electronics so I want to make sure I got this right before throwing new alt back in. See image.

You have red going directly to the alt. Then only use the yellow and white. Please advise which method is best thx
