The torque spec is defined by the bolt you are using. Can't go by the fsm as results very quite a bit. @SpikerEng just did a very thorough test on these.

100%. With the FSM I still glance at the bolt spec sheets. Even though those too might be in error. In the end, the gut knows best.

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
Fresh plugs, oil, coolant, brake/clutch fluid, some redline in the trans, Mobil synthetic in the diffs and t case. Fixed my wonky negative terminal with some creativity for now, and installed the headlight services harness for the 100w halogens to go in the cibies. Trucks going back to the farm for winter. Bed on this weekend if possible. Deal with the body work springtime.

Are you going to send the injectors off for rebuild or replace them? New Denso seem to be around $60 a pop.

Have you noticed any symptoms with the injectors?

The big symptom was hard starting at temp. I've owned the truck for 3 years, and it got steadily worse throughout that time. I finally figured out what was causing it (after replacing a lot of other stuff like plug wires, engine coolant temp sensor, exhaust gaskets, etc., etc.) when I came home after being away for two weeks and it didn't have any fuel pressure. I pulled the injectors and cleaned them myself using mostly stuff I had around already, so it only cost me $35 for an ultrasonic cleaner plus the cost of new seals. You can see that process here. It worked, but someday I'll get new injectors. I'd be suspicious of anything cheap, apparently there's a lot of counterfeiting going on.

Good to know. I've got a rough hard start as well and am leaning towards injectors being the problem. It seems like such a minor issue compared to other things figure I can let it sit for a while still. I have noticed if the truck sits for 2 weeks or so without running it'll stumble for a second right after firing up, I'm guessing related to the injectors leaking everything from the rail. Yet another project

Yeah, it could be so many things, which is why I replaced a bunch of other stuff trying to figure it out. If you don't have any issues with fuel pressure while it's running, and your spark plugs look normal, I'd say leaking injectors and engine coolant temp sensor are good bets. Replacing the sensor was a 5 minute job for me, and my old one was completely disintegrated. Cold starts and rough idle definitely improved after replacement.

Anyone ever figured out how to de pin one of these guys? 4wd light (hoping thats all) connector
    plugs into top of transfercase.

    20221122_075429.jpg 20221122_075433.jpg 20221122_075508.jpg

Removed the locking slide but can't figure out what to push on to get the pins out. There are ears but they don't look obstructed once that white locking pin is removed. Damn puzzle

Ahh shit. Looks like the tab on the top goes into a hole.
    Screenshot_20221122_092037_Amazon Shopping.jpg
Guessing it's similar to these for release. But without wires to pull on its proving difficult to remove.

So there is a small plastic ridge/tab whatever you want to call it that locks in the bottom of the terminal. Remove that white plastic piece and then take a fine flathead/pick/anything that is small enough and insert/press down while pulling with a little pressure on the wire. Or instead of pulling you could try pushing with the flathead. In your image below, arrows show the white piece which should just pull out and then where to 'look' for the tab that locks it into place.

yep, thats it. Instead of pulling on non-existant wires, push with whatever tool you have in there. Wiggle around. You'll get it.

@ToyRyd04 Didn't you have a tool kit that was good for depinning all these? Asking because I want to order it eventually since this came up again.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Little bit more progress on getting the body lift (Bed) spacers made. Zapped them together last night after work. Figured I'd let em rest overnight seeing as they were hot as hell. I'll flap disc them this evening and see if I can get some primer on them.

Damn he makes it look so easy with the wire attached haha

I've got a couple sets of kit but they feel a bit flimsy for this so I'll need to find a small flathead. Would likely be a walk in the park if the wires were on (but wouldn't get to learn this new found info because i wouldnt have an issue)

    20221122_101854.jpg

    Thanks for the help gents

Check here, I used my terminal removal tools from my RTMR build.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...n-rtmr-fuse-relay-block.399454/#post-11086089

Scroll down that page and look for the terminal removal tools he lists. The metripack and the mini fit. Eyeglasses flat head might also work.

A couple steps towards a LT length, 9.5 inch, full float axle, with Harrop and 4th gen 4 Runner disc brakes... least that's the plan anyway.
