I feel bad for you all every time I see under coating and rusty parts.

What are they best option for CARB compliant headers? Seems like they are a worth while upgrade? Thoughts?

First attempt with this VHT wrinkle paint. Few areas came out with slightly different textures than others so I might throw another layer on tomorrow to hopefully even it out more. Still think it gives a super unique look to it. Lower plenum will be done tomorrow. And I do plan on sanding down the Toyota emblem.

I've done a mod or two
Yanked the ol engine out for a reseal, turbo drain bung, repaint frame rails, gusset coil buckets and engine mounts, replace diff, and change clutch. She's gonna be nice and fresh soon.

    I asked elsewhere too but....
Doze anyone happen to know what tap size to use to chase the treads out of the steering knuckle for the lower ball joint bolts?
Also I painted the frame a bit to cover up some surface rust.

12" 7100 short bodies inside the frame with the shock tabs at the mid point on the axle:
    IMG_20230219_193414184.jpg
They are leaned back about 30* and jammed up against the bed but pretty easy to fit them under there. I was always under the impression that 12s had to go through the bed, but nope.
    IMG_20230212_184422612.jpg
The middle crossmember is where my shock mounts are. Granted those are custom frame rails, but they are built to the stock Tacoma frame measurements, it just doesn't do that weird hump but not really over the axle.

I can’t really get it to move much further before lifting the other tire off the ground. I’m not sure on my bumpstop height, I’ll have to measure them.

Lots of dust and custom dents, Check Build
Installed a metal door handle to replace the one that's been zip tied for years, and a window motor and regulator so it will actually roll up. Only picture I took was of the crack I found.

Yup black. I found the upper and lower plenums for dirt cheap on offerup and they were pretty dirty. Soaked them in the sink with hot water mixed with some dish soap and simple green. Took a wire brush and scotch brite pads to it as well as some leftover engine degreaser. Thoroughly rinsed with hot water then rubbed down with 70% isopropyl alcohol.
