I used the CUT60 via hand torch for the longest until I decided I didn't wanna cut like a peon anymore

Had a 180 as well but sold it here for cheap since I've got a 285 as well as a Miller 135XP. That 180 did a lot of work as I put it through its paces for sure.

Does anyone have the pages of the FSM that include servicing the bearing in a non ADD front diff tube? Looks like remove the outer c clip, press the shaft out with the bearing, then remove the inner c clip, and press the bearing off the shaft but I would like to confirm.

Hmmmmm cryo sounds good. it should hold up to a lot of abuse. It would be cool if there were chromo replacements but I'm guessing it would cost $750 or more for a single one off from RCV or Moser

Yeah I feel like removing the play from the ADD system is a huge step towards strength, especially if shock loaded. Add this and heavier duty CV's if I LT and I think 37's are attainable on IFS reliably. Obviously can't drive it like SAS bouncing over shit but for the slow technical crawling I do it will work I think.

I'm not entirely sure but if the RCV cage/race/balls are the same as mini truck / D44 ones (they're interchangeable for those RCV axles) they should hold up to a lot of abuse.

And getting rid of the ADD as a whole helps out a ton. With an aftermarket carrier (you have an ARB right?), that'll help with strength so next up is steering is the next big thing to get beef'd up to handle the additional stress.

RCV said they would do a run of the non ADD shaft if there was enough interest. I believe @cbechtold reached out to them about it

Yeah I remember him pursuing it but wasn't it like $1k or something ridic? Figure if heat treating is like $200 then that's way more viable.
