Found a possible issue to my front end vibrations.

Pretty sure there shouldn't be any light showing through that.

I got to go for a little test drive today.
Still have a few things to do before it's done (if you haven't already seen in the Turbo BS Thread)

    IMG_20230709_174525.jpg

I also just barely put the hood back on to make sure it would still close. So far so good but I may run into some small fitment issues with the grill when it goes back on

Got my renewal / smog notice today. Anyone know if they will fail me for dash lights other than the CEL? The washer fluid light is on despite the tank having been just refilled. I'm gonna fiddle with the sensor harness before I just replace the whole tank/pump/sensor.. But it's been a VERY low priority since buying and remodeling our house...

    4 run, 2 don't
    In CA?

I've never failed for any lights as CEL would be an automatic no go, but any and everything else would be unrelated to the engine.

No they only look for the CEL. It has to light up with the key in on position, and then turn off once started.
I pulled the bulb previously and they failed me because of it not lighting up with key on

You should be fine. My ABS light has been for probably 6 years due to a speed sensor that got yanked on. Never had a problem

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

Crossing my fingers. Since I replaced the O2 sensors and fiddled with the gas filler neck and cap, no CEL.

I need to take it down to the smog shop while it's behaving it's self. I don't even want to put gas in it before I go down to get it smogged lol.

You should get a scanner that can read your ecu's readiness monitors. If any of the monitors haven't completed, they won't pass you.
I.e. the catalyst monitor specifically for you. Don't remember exactly what it needs, but I think it's like 50mph for like 10 miles or something until it completes

That would apply if I had cleared the codes (with scan tool, or by disconnecting the battery)

In this case it cleared it's self. I drove it for about 20 minutes after I did the work, and the CEL cleared it's self.

I have a scan tool that checks if the monitors are complete.

Now, I just need to not have a cluster fuck day like today, where I can dip out, come home, get the truck, and go smog it.

I just learned about it a few days ago, nd immediately went down to the local junk yard to grab the parts. It was pretty straightforward, and took me maybe 30 minutes of measuring and trimming the hole for the vent to fit, and another 10 minutes looking for the screw that fell into the abyss. I don't think I have the duct seated all the way on the driver's side vent, but I didn't feel like removing the entire dash to do it properly. I'll get around to that when I install my Ham radio.

I've still got that vent sitting on the parts shelf. it's starting to get hot enough to need it so hopefully that goes in soon.
