    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Front Chevy 63 perches are burned in. I plated the inside for reinforcement. They tied in to the back slider mounts on the outside. (Was a major pain in the ass to cut out the frame. Left me with some pretty funky gaps to fill)

Made some progress on the @eimkeith fuel tank relocate (lift 2 inches). Decided to finish boxing the rest of the frame while I was at it, and welded the crossmember to the frame.

    20231009_164920.jpg

And made a little more progress on the rear axle by mounting the traction bar base.

It takes like an hour. I did a set on my lunch in the bed of my truck.

    I know.

I have 5th gen 4runner shocks I want to convert to Tacoma use… so top hats, shafts, and valving need to change. (Same body though)

you replaced all the seals and piston guide in an hour in the bed of your truck with no tools?o_O

heim replacement is its own thing haha

looking back at my posts its been nearly 5 years since I last revalved, roughly 60k miles, truck hasn't been driven much the last 2 years tho.

still had pretty good pressure in one of them... I think I'm going to change the valving again to improve washboard performance further.

The shaft/lower rodend change is very annoying without an appropriate soft jaw. Valving you probably don't NEED to change... but Imo the stock valving sucks ass on all the icons I've ridden in unless you are working them in sand, so you probably do want to change them.

Deka Intimidator... dumb name but it is the same as the old DieHards before they switched manufacturers. Got 8 years out of the last so wanted to continue the trend.

Wow under $200 from Rockauto, may have to look at this instead of the Costco one

I tried to get the AGM one from Costco and was told they didn't have the 24F in AGM flavor on the shelves but I could wait 2-3weeks for it if I wanted... local auto shop sells the Dekas and fulfills their warranty so I figured that was the way to go.

That was also my worry since they won't let you know what they have in stock unless you go in, but this one is only like $20 more. Rockauto only has the 34R and the 35 so I'm going with the 34R

Got the front end aligned again. Drives likes it’s on rails up to 80mph when I start to get some vibrations in the steering wheel. IMG_1367.jpg

it looked like I should consider re-using it, but I used JM92 last rebuild.

the original Icon fluid looked pretty good too last rebuild, but I don't have much experience with their oil.

I'm hoping after making the switch to the 5wt offered by ShockSeals it'll look decent coming out next time (really soon since I know what changes I want to make now)

Snagged a Craigslist Camper Special. $20, off an older Ford Ranger. Needs some TLC but I'm willing being it was basically free.

I think it's an Century brand from what I can gather... It has Creative Windows branded back glass frame. Any help with identifying would be appreciated.

I recently saw a cool build on Instagram I think it was with a camper like this. Guy had a small single bed with a giant pull out drawer under it and a solar setup on top for power. Perfect for one person.

Do you remember the name of the account? I'd be interested in seeing that. I did see something similar on YouTube but it was a double cab setup
