that’s actually kind of frighteningly accurate. I just replaced a bunch of parts on my new to me 04 but have some perfectly good parts I was going to offer up to see if anyone wanted. But also the 50 posts thing just keeps me from being able to try to comment/buy stuff for sale on here as well.

Bought this truck last summer, ran it all year with no AC. No big deal most of the time for me, since I spend my time above 7000ft. Those trips down the mountain in the summer though, oof!
I'm no AC guru, decided to brute force the process.
New condensor and receiver/dryer in today. Still to do: compressor, pressure switch, expansion valve, evaporator core, and heater core while I'm in there. Gonna be a frosty summer!
My wife told me it's weird to work on the AC while it's snowing. Whatever, I'm hot blooded17142569820533790180233372745577.jpg

Anyone know how getting this big white connector unmounted from its plastic widget is supposed to go? I need to repair those broken wires.

I don't understand. Why would you do all those improvements and then consider selling it?

Agreed, spending on maintenance before you sell makes sense, but those are all things you’ll never get back what you paid for, might as well enjoy the truck if you spent all that time and money

Finally completed my suspension rebuild and forgot to take a final picture with the stance. Here is the in progress shot, along with new Wet Okole seat covers. My wife picked out a pretty "loud" choice. :p Last pic is a large oil leak I found. It seems to run from below the oil filter, all over the front diff and the oil pan. Any chance this is just years of oil changes when the filter drains or any ideas where there are common leaks on that side?

I almost hand a melt down. One of the cam adjusters was frozen. I wasn’t having it so I put my large impact on it and drowned it with WD-40 and it free’d up. :bananadance:

Probably leaking from front diff, unable to tell where. Take a pic of your fill and drain plug?

I had a leak there one time. Turned out it was my oil pressure sensor. If it is, be careful and only torque to 11ftlbs (I think?). I overtightened one once and, because it was tapered, I cracked the block :frusty:

Could be years of oil changes and the subsequent mess, could be the oil pan, valve cover gaskets seeping all the way down, or the oil pressure sensor.

Only way to know will be to clean it up well and then watch for the source afterwards.

Saw this. Thought it was kind of interesting. Interesting... but not sure what I think beyond that. LOL.

Anyone else seen these? Was wondering what other people think of them. This may be a good way to get a set of 63s dialed in, unless I'm missing something.
