My old icons, my old fox in the rear and mikes old alcans in the rear. Stance is good. Tall, but rides nice. I'll get some 35s to finish the look.

I've never seen those locking pins not seize up. Guess it's just extra security...

I'm with them, not a fan of the light hoops. Center could probably stay though. I've also got the trail gear so we definitely have different tastes.

I'm actually surprised allpro makes bumpers still at all honestly.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
They're all Trail Gear technically these days and they've gone all god squad like JBA with the stickers and crap in the box.

Same, I didn't recognize it at first sitting in the pile of bumpers. Not complaining. It's growing on me. Hoops stay. Trucks got a bit of a rattle up front I can't track down and a low frequency growling/vibe when coasting. Probably center bearing and joint complaining about the new angles. Otherwise still getting about 19mpgs with it.

Function over fashion. Those hoops should provide some great protection

on my 3rd gen 4Runner 2000 MY, my ABS light came on and it was because I had put an LED bulb in the third brake light. The system needs to see an incandescent amp draw at the bulb. Upon changing the bulb to the stock incandescent bulb number, everything went well and abs light went out.

could be something to check on your rig.

I attempted to change out my AC compressor clutch today. Ran into two problems.

First problem: The pulley didn't want to come off, yes I removed the snap ring. All the videos I watched showed it sliding right off after removing the snap ring, mine was on there tight. I used a puller to take it off. I knew I might damage it, but didn't care because the kit came with a new one. It came off, but left the bearing behind. Any ideas on how to get it off?
    IMG_3436.jpg

Second problem: The kit I bought: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CWH2PWVZ has a smaller pulley. Are there two different size pulleys for first gen Tacomas?

I wanted to go with 285-75R17's, but a lot of massaging will be needed.
    Are you running spacers?

It's fashion and function. Some here need glasses  but I'm in for a driveshaft rebuild. Cranked out 1300+ miles this weekend drama free. Can't complain about that.

No spacers, do rub on lower end of the resis (and hose) a bit at nearly full lock, which will need to be addressed.

285/75R17 would rub even more (as it sounds like you've discovered). But I'm not sure that 255/80R17 would have rubbed at all.

Also, damn, these feel a lot heavier than the last setup.

Pretty well except for the last night. Beauty-full up there in the north.

    Just finishing up my build.

RCD 5100’s, OME springs forgot which ones 880’s or 881’s. Rear Icon add a leafs. 1/4” top spacer on left front, 1/2 shim on left rear to level. New OEM rear U-Joint, Upper Lower Ball Joints and TRE’s. Fully cleaned and rebuilt the Locking Hubs. Replaced the reverse light switch, which also solved my leaking trans issue.

And installed new 15x8 Methods with C-Rated 32x11:50r15 KbrO2’s. It rides so smooth right now. And the weight reduction from the 16” steel wheels and 265/75 E-Rated KO2’s is hugely noticeable. I’m really happy I didn’t go with 33x12:50’s.

So far no tire rub, but I still need to get it aligned.

I’ve put about 10miles on it, and got a thumbs up on the road, and guy at the grocery store starring at it and then asking me questions about what I’ve done to it.

I kinda don’t want to sell it now :frusty:

You sure have come full circle going from wheeler, to drag truck, and now back to wheeler.

It's hard to beat that load C ride quality. I couldn't believe how harsh the ride was when I initially switched from load C 31's on 15x8 to load E 33's on 16x8s. Smooths out once you add a bunch of weight though :anonymous:

I think the white on black 98-00 front trucks look great like how you have yours. The headlights help a lot too
