3" lift Up front(Donahoe Racing ext. travel coil overs, Camburg UCA's), 1.5-2" lift in the back(aal and some billy 10" stroke short bodies), Bushwhacker Cut-Out fender flairs, 16"x10" Procomp Street locks, and 305/70 Procomp X-Terrains.
I have really thick padding underneath it. Like 1/4 or so. Maybe less. Could this be the problem?

Got my truck back from Toyota after having the timing belt and water pump replaced, then finally found a black tool box that would fit my truck! But since I had already payed Toyota a lot of money my debit card denied my purchase of the tool box, so I had to drive 25 miles to my bank to get cash. It's been a long day... Haha but I finally was able to get all my tools out of my back seat!

Was gonna get the boot too but got talked out of it by the salesman. He said he's seen plenty of trucks that got the paint rubbed off after a while. Don't think that would give you much of an issue besides the fact that the bed is mounted solidly to the frame and the cab body can flex some. The padding might be the problem. Have you tightened your clamps? Those buggers need to be ratched down pretty tightly. How much does it roll? Does it roll during regular driving, hardcore crawling, or does it just wiggle if you push on it? Mine seems pretty solid.

Not enough :jellydance: in the world.

Let us Minnesotans know how they handle in the snow alright?

(on that note, how did your siped KM2's handle?)

Seriously curious and stuck between going to 10.5/12.5 and a 15 or 16" rim (debating Tundra upgrade since i need to rebuild a caliper anyway...)

i like them! got them from my buddy when he totaled his truck. I like them because i had VHT on my stock ones before but they was too dark, and i was always worried about getting pulled over for them. These look dark but still put out the light.

    agreed. ;)

So far so good in the snow although they seem to spin on the ice a bit easier than my KM2s (but that's probably because the KM2s were siped and these aren't).

KM2's are flat lousy in the snow without getting them siped. Mine handled pretty good with the siping. Not as good as some other tires, but good enough. They did everything else so well that it was ok (for me) that they weren't totally awesome in the snow.

The narrower tire will be lighter and won't rob power like a wider tire although I haven't seen a huge difference. The wider tire feels more stable for sure. The stock brakes are barely adequate for this size of tire. The Tundra upgrade is a good one to improve braking, but for me since I already had the 15" rims I haven't worried about upgrading the brakes because I like the cheaper tires and not having to buy new wheels.

I think they would look pretty good, its just a personal prefrence. Some people dont like "to" much black, but i personally think it would look badass.

I swapped my old stock stuff 3 years ago for a stage 2 race clutch and 38 pound flywheel.

Sometimes when I quick shift it does not grab like it used to and slips every now and then.

I bought all the heavy duty stuff with plans to supercharge and lift with 35's.. clearly neither happened so stock is fine.

Since this forum thread is where I mostly visit...

    A few months ago...
My cousin offered me my Tacoma back for $1.00. After 11 long years and 145,000 added miles.....

Pickup the truck...As I go over it I hear a flapping noise coming from the engine bay and see a leak from the pass side radiator. He's says he has been driving it all the previous week to work about 30 mi each way and its been fine.

As I drive home I listen closely to the sound, skip driving the freeway and for side streets until I feel more comfortable. I drive about 2 more miles and get to a very busy downtown area. I'm stopped at a light and all of a sudden the engine stops and check engine light comes on. 2.5 hours later I am being towed back home wondering what I just got myself into.

After several worst case quotes from independent repair shops (between $3-4K to tear down the whole motor), I spent a few days researching the problem and this website. I find out the engine is non-interference.

Surprisingly got the best $ quote from a local Toyota dealer:
Timing belt, water pump, idler pulleys, tensioners, thermostat, new radiator, valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, spark plug wires intake - plenum gaskets, synthetic oil change, transmission flush for $2,200.

I asked to see the timing belt and it was in shreds, not broke though, actually ended up wrapping itself around the crank shaft and stopped the engine. Factory belt had 185,000 miles. Engine sounds like new or at least as I remember. I wish it only looked as good as it sounded.

Since then and with the help of this site...
    - Had transfer case seals replaced at Toyota
    - Clutch bushing replaced at Toyota - made it worse.
    - Had Toyota HQ replace the seat belt as "Goodwill" - has a grey belt now but oh well it was free.
    - Tore out the entire interior and cleaned 11 years of Bullmastiff hair and dog odor, and spilled cokes through the dash.
    - After some rain and finding my floorboards soaked - Replaced the windshield and found my leak source (lots of rust under the front glass frame).

    Here are some pictures:
