Thats what I am hoping/praying works the best. Otherwise I don't have the skills to make it look good.

Id be worried the joint sizes themselves are different though. Not to mention how the power wires get through the joint on the 2nd gen mirror im almost positive wont work with your 1st gen non powered mirror.

My 1st gen mirrors are powered... I have a LIMITED... everything is powered :D

I am worried about a lot of it not matching up. The guy I am test fitting, doesn't have powered, so there might be a few issues that I don't see from the test fit. the wires/connector can always be cut and reconnected if need be. The issue is going to be the knuckle and joint size.

I PM'd my local dealership to see what a new set of 01-04 mirrors would be. Maybe this route isn't going to save me anything.

But, when I saw the guy offering up a set of mirrors, I figured it was worth investigating. The price he offered is good, just can I make it work.

Yeah, I don't think I will do it that way. I had already thought about it though.

Only one way to find out. I might have a write-up to do. Or I might just confirm what others already know.

Looking at my buddies mirrors, I don't think it will work. The knuckle is different. Not sure if I could, or would want to, mod the mounting piece to work. I might make a template of mine tonight and then when I take his off, I could see if trimming it would work.

    hmmmm

think this one will be a no go.

Ah. Scour the FS section, I frequently see mirrors come up for sale.

I do, all the time. Still holding out hope for a 01-04 center console. Usually don't see powered mirrors.

Took me two years of scouring and bumping my "WTB" thread.

Washed all of the salt and mud off of it.

And picked this up from my neighbor who's been holding it for me past couple of days since I was away

Yeah, I know. We have talked about it as we hijacked someone else's wtb: 01-04 center console thread. I can't find my original wtb, so I created a new one.

    Everything in time.
