not a real big fan of roof painting. Looks to me like it was a replacement or shitty fix attempt IMO

I like the look of it on some 2nd gens, but I don't think it would look good on ours because it has no lines to flow with without looking silly.

IMO, it wouldn't look right on a first gen.

The second gens have sectioned roofs, so IMO it would look goofy to just paint the roof on a 1st gen black.

I did the dash light mod, though not as bright as I thought they were gonna be...? Maybe it's because I ordered the 194 bulb with 1 LED and/or they look brighter in other people's pictures
Regardless I'm still pleased since it now matches my Pioneer Deck and is way better than the dull green stock lights :D

Also a question: When taking off the ignition plastic plate, there's a factory wire running to the back of it (where the 2000-20004 models have a clock) but mine is just plastic... What's up with that?

Back side w/ the "dead end" wire:

Front side w/ the plastic plate (oh and Saint Christopher the patron saint of travel & Saint Hubert, the patron saint of hunters:

IIRC the SR5 models came with the clock...all the others have the wiring, just not the clock. If you can find a panel w/ the clock it will wire right in.

I used the 5 SMD LED's and they are very bright, much more than stock. I have red vice blue though.

Wow that looks.. um.. a little BRO-tastic with those wheels and bedlined bumpers with the tube steps.

    Less is more IMO

    Different strokes though.

I just prefer practical over bling but thats just me.
