    Have you tuned it with an SWR meter? You'll get some interference from the shell too. I've had better luck with my antennae mounted on my front bumper because there are less vertical planes to cause wave interference.

    so how about you spend $30 on one from radio shack to use it for 5 minutes.. then return it and get your $30 back? ive never had a problem returning anything at radio shack.

    and cb's are sweet once you get it figured out. dont give up on it. after one trail ride of being able to talk to people and know whats going on its completely worth it.


    btw your mount looks sick. way too cool to scrap it!!!

    Your welcome....it is an easy oversight. You may still want to fine tune it with a SWR meter when you get a chance. Glad I could be of help :cool:

    if you put the spacer lift on then you'll ahve no problem swapin old for new, prettty mucht eh same process..just take your time.

    got my lowest MPG to date today towing 2 jet skis and loaded with about 100lbs of stuff in the bed. Also had a pretty good head wind.

    14.5 mpg:eek:

    this was between Shamrock TX and Tucumcarie NM so pretty flat driving.

    It's an 89 Toyota Pickup. I got some stuff done to it.. FJ axles going under it soon.
    Made some bumpstops, and got bored..so went out and bought a M12 x 1.25 nut..and chopped up a Wilson basbeall bat and sanded..made a shift knob.

    Going to Man O War the knob tomorrow :cool:
