What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I've heard of Sa-Toshi, but is that the No-toshi grill? Where's the mesh?

My passenger power window quit working today. Anyone have any ideas? The door itself still has power because my power locks still work. I've never worked on power windows so I have no idea of what to check. Was working perfect before.

 

Might just be a loose connection, maybe pull your door panel.

 

I have. Everything was connected. I put a volt meter on the wires going to the motor and hit the switch and got nothing. I'm not even sure if the meter works though haha .

 

Motor is probably bad then, or you blew a fuse in your meter haha. Does it read OL or does it read 0 V

 

Flat black, high temp paint works wonders with the condenser and other shinning objects back there.

BTW, the flares look great. I covered my bed-extender with bed-liner two years ago and it's about time for another coat.

 

Ha it's not digital. It's got the dial that you set then a needle that moves.

 

Doesn't the kill switch only disable the passenger side window button? When I was younger my parents hated when I played with the windows so they would hit the kill switch and then they could put my window up and down but I couldn't.

I mention this because the window won't go down with either switch.

 

What I was saying though is shouldn't I still be able to put the window down from the driver's side with the killswitch active?

Hahahahaha you're a genius. I have no idea as to how that button got pressed. I've never pushed it since I've owned my truck. I'm a dumbass haha. I took the door panel off and everything!!

 

Don't feel bad. I've done it before also. I didn't go as far as taking the door panel off but I did start checking fuses before I saw it pushed lol.

 

Haha I'm sure we've all had a moment or two...

Is that rubberized bedliner or the textured paint kind?

 

It's more like hard textured paint...

 

Nice I sell a lot of those at work. I'm debating on picking up that or the the InReach made by Delorme. It looks intriguing but either should work great.

 

Got the cap color matched and back on the taco today. The guys from the wheel/tire shop definitely don't wheel...no idea how I'd get to the hubs with the way they put it back together, those center caps are coming off tomorrow. Along with all the other chrome hopefully.

 

what did they do put the center cab over the manual hubs??
