Bummer about the ball joint man. Makes me want to go check mine out even though they were replaced last year.

Yeah well, its kinda my own fault for not jumping on it sooner, I could feel they were going south on me a few weeks back but just didn't have the $ at the time to do them, I'm just glad it didn't happen at speed...

Scared the shit out of me nonetheless, big "POP" & driverside dropped about a foot instantly, All it took to finish it off was backing up about 1.5', slight turn of the wheel & kaboom !!

I just love perma sealed perma "lubed" parts....fuck....

    ^^Nice truck!

And the ball joint picture scares me. I've had the same symptoms of wandering, moving to one side while braking, and lots of pops and clunks from the front end. I've been putting it off for a long time for $$ reasons. I think I'll have them looked at/replaced very soon.

I dunno, but I'm going to find out in a bit, finished up installing the "bolt on's" about 30 mins ago, did both lowers & tomorrow plan on doing the uppers or the tie rod ends, it'll be one or the other for sure tho'...

I think I paid something like $36 & change per side for lowers, the bummer is I've got 2 brand new Moogs/lowers sitting right in front of me.... for a 2nd gen... just my luck..:anonymous:

Went to Potawatomi Off Road Park today. Was pretty fun, but we got rained on and everything turned to mud. So instead of doing a lot of trail riding and rock climbing we just got stuck a lot and muddy!

Agreed, black is better! I was really happy with how all my black accents turned out on my truck.

Haha thanks, it was alright. Would have been a lot better if it was dry. The mud made it a pain to get anywhere. Every time we were going to try another trail somebody slid off into a rut and we had to pull them out. Still had fun though.

My 96 has 87,000 miles so they should be good, I'll have to check though.
And I need to get the most bullet proof replacements there are, those would be??
