I could just barely break 300 if I drove all highway miles. Not completely impossible with large tires and 4x4.

I'm ready to see what I get this summer. I was getting 20-21 mpg's in December when I was stock...

Haha ya that new clutch feeling is hard to get use to. You get all that torque back to your pedal. My throwout bearing has been humming for a while now but my clutch isnt done yet. Thinking about aftermarket clutch kits

Yea my original throw out bearing had been squeeling abt a year and a half ago but then somehow it stopped it within the past 3 months mine actually started slipping so that's when I decided to go ahead and replace it lol I was gonna let it go till it quit

Well you'll be glad to know its not hard to do! You literally only need a 12mm & 14mm 3/8 & 17mm 1/2" drive, impacts for both if available and a 14mm ratchet wrench. Plus every extension available for the bell housing bolts.. I found the top one the easiest to get to thru the hole in the cab where the shifters are.

Good info. Thanks. I plan on changing mine this weekend. I have a new flywheel and the stage 3 competition clutch from urd. Mine is slipping real bad.

Does anyone know if you can rent transmission jacks from autozone or somewhere like that?

So what is that? Like 255 75R 16?

I bought my truck with General Grabber AW 265 70R 16. I'd like to get something more aggressive but don't want to kill the MPG's too much. Mostly I'm concerned with thin side walls. From what I've read a wider tire isn't always better for wheeling. I don't do a lot of wheeling but don't want to tear up weak tires.
I'm looking for performance and mpg's. I really don't care about looks.

Get a cheap one from harbor freight? I believe that's what we have at the shop but I'm not 100% but it worked fine and our transmissions aren't very heavy. Have fun getting the pilot bearing out though! That was one of the most time consuming parts as well as getting the clips on the throw out bearing attached to the fork. But with 2 people we were pretty much able to just push the trans up an twist it around Into place & I did it all off the ground too

Yea harbor freight is the backup plan, I just didn't want to buy a jack that I'm only going to use once every few years. Ok thanks for the heads up. I might call one of my friends over to help me, so I have an extra hand.

If I had a daily driver that got 45-50 mpg (like a CRX or something) then I wouldn't be so hesitant to add weight or go up to 32s on my truck.

But it's my only vehicle... the daily driver to my daughter's school, grocery store, ski resorts, 4WD trails, landscape yard, etc..

I have to find the perfect balance of efficiency/practicality and capabilities.

    Bone stock. For now.
Disabled my DRL's this morning. The wire clip took about 6 seconds.

Next up is gonna be more DynaMat, change the dash lights to blue, new air filter (AFE?), exhaust, etc., etc., the list goes on...

I have a single 12" Type S pushed by an Alpine MR-500. I love the sound. It's not the best in the world, but it's versatile. I can have big boom in my tiny little cab when I want, or I can turn the level down and have a good clean sound. Good sub for the $ IMO.
