Depends if you trust your life on your welds. You could beef up the mounts at the same time.

You have the nicest set of stock wheels offered and painted them black.

    Like it.

    What paint/process did you use?

Also - your dog is wearing a different collar and you Line-X'd your bed... and blacked out your badges.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone do it for a lift but that is very common in the lowrider scene. They take the body off, cut the body mounts off and the top of the frame down, replate the frame, then weld the body mounts back on only lower. And then you have a cheap version of a stock floor bodydrop.

So I imagine it would be the same as lifting it and like you said it would probably be safer.

I posted a thread about it but want to ask you guys.

Do you think a 1" differential drop kit would work with bud built skids?

Only thing is I removed the shit carpet and put in vinyl. Place I got it from had it molded TERRIBLY so it looks like shit. Do you literally just have the floor bedlined and left it at that? I took out the carpet because It was a bitch to clean and I'm always muddy. But the vinyl looks like shit too since the back wasn't molded at all so it looks so bad.

Truck looks much better! How do you like the Hero 3? My buddy has the same one and says when he puts it in the 4k, the battery life is non existent.

Way too much work for 1" IMO. After installing the 1" BL on my truck I can say I have zero concerns about stability or safety with the 1" kit. I'd have concerns with anything bigger than 1" but the small kit is NBD.

Don't waste your effort on fabbing new mounts. A ton of work and irreversible. Throw a 1" kit in it and if you decide you don't like it, you can sell it.

I have to agree with Adam. You'd want your mounts to be almost perfect and almost solid other then the bolt hole. Cause even if you welded it on..id want to run bolts anyways.

But the non reversible part is what would really suck..

Also you could probably fit 37s with a 1 BL and the tubing...just saying..

Very nice upgrade! Did you also end up doing the end cap mod before the actual install? Was it a PITA to install the ARB like some others have mentioned?

That's assuming it crosses your mind to actually clean, first.

    True that.
