Tossing around the idea of a wrap around on my rear bumper. I'm not sure about it though. Opinions?

It would cover up the the little indent the fender has behind the rear wheel wells.

I think that looks pretty good! I think I'd try to put the receiver in the middle of the bumper instead of underneath it if that makes sense

I meant the map lights, I can get a picture of them for you tomorrow. I can't recall the size.

I'm not really a fan of removing the license plate to tow. Gotta figure out how to light the plate when you move it too. And I usually keep a drawbar in the hitch just in case.

That makes sense. If you're going to tow more than off road the hitch receiver being where you designed would be better.

My license plate and light are just zip tied to my tube bumper :anonymous:
The first pic doesn't have the license plate light on it but the second one does. Maybe you could mount the license plate with lighting to one side of the bumper. Just throwing out suggestions

I'm still debating it all. An offset plate would be hard with the way I designed in shackle mounts and 4" led lights. The nice thing about my design is even with the hitch where it is, it's only about an inch lower than the stock bumper. Then the factory hitch drops another 3" below that. So I gain 2" or more of clearance in the center compared to the stock bumper and hitch.

Relocating the license plate would be a lot of work and would probably require you to redesign the whole bumper. That clearance gain is good and if you tow a lot that location would definitely be worth it.

That stuff looks really good. I'm hoping to do my rocker panels this summer so maybe this is a good alternative to raptor liner.

You said you have a 175 degree thermostat though, right? Or was that your dads?

Oh, and I used one of those coolant testers. The dial was all the way at the top. Above 268 degree boil over.

Interesting. I wonder why mine is so high. It is possible the thermostat was changed for a higher temp one, but I have no idea how to find out. Any other ideas on what could be causing it? Water pump maybe? 72,000 miles btw.

My truck runs at 199 and was told from the dealer who installed a new thermostat cause mine was stuck open and was at 180.. that 195-200 is what its supposed to run at.

My truck would never heat up the cat enough for it to register it to the computer for smog till I replaced the thermostat.

My gauge sits just under the 50% mark, No matter the conditions the temp is always 195-200
