Yeah, I had enough of that stuff and moved to Florida 18 years ago...to get away from that white stuff ;)

And is that a new motorcycle to you? What is it? I've always toyed with the idea...would love to get a Yamaha Virago some day ;)

Florida would be nice right about now...

I just picked up this 80 Honda CB750 yesterday. 4100 original miles. I got a good deal on it, and I have it sold already. I fix up older non-running bikes and sell them. Sold this one before I even touched a wrench to it.

Don't know what your money situation is but if it were me I'd get it professionally done. Get the new deluxe Line-X. I've seen guys who have it on their truck and it looks brand new gloss black 5 years later. No fading.

If you go the DIY route I'd do Raptor Liner. Buy the entire spray kit.

Yeah, the problem with the spray DIY one is that I really don't have any place to spray it. My condo parking lot antics have to be kept to a minimum...I think spraying my rims is about as much as I can push it ;)

I just requested a quote from the local Line-X dealer...we'll see how much that would come to. I don't mind spending a bit if I know it's going to be good quality and last. But that would have to wait until after I do the timing belt...since that would be a priority over a bed makeover.

    Solid plan.

I can vouch for my Line-X. Holding strong for 14 years or so now. And I've abused it.

    ...too much shit to list.
    They are made by EBC.
The black coating helps bed the pads to the rotors. They black completely scrapes off after bedding. the entire rotor is coated as well and help with rust resistance.

Yeah custom making them per the member's request. Pricewise, I think the GB pricing was somewhere near $600 plus shipping ($40 east coast). But he took 5% off since we had a few people on the GB.

I could probably take the canvas off in 10 minutes. Or just loosen the 4 bed clamps and remove the whole thing in 5 minutes. Plus, its fairly light in total. Maybe 60#

I chose the 883s. I want the ability to add a bumper in the future, but I won't have the money to do it for probably a year at least. I also did not want any possible body roll with the 881s. Didn't want 882s in fear of them over lifting the front.

Also picked up the AAL to go with the dakar springs in the rear.

So, did a little maintenance on the taco yesterday. Changed the plugs, wires (first time since owning) and changed over to synthetic. NGK plugs and wires.

So before this, I noticed the truck didn't like low RPMs in second gear. Like most manuals, I take slow turns and put around at lights in 2nd with no problem, but since owning the taco, it seemed like it shuttered or stumbled more then most at low speeds in second. I didn't think much of it, just thought it was taco behavior.

Anyway, changed all that stuff out, tightened the valve cover bolts since I hear they loosen frequently on here, and mine were def a little loose.
(I'm getting to the point I promise)
So, after I did all this, I drove to the auto part store to drop off an Optima battery for charge, (about 3-4 miles). Rode the same. Left the truck idling while inside. Took about 5-10 minutes, then when I left the truck seemed like it was running much better at lower rpms in second. Weird I thought, but it's still running much better today. Night and day difference to me.

Do you think it was just the wires? The plugs in it were the same part# NGKs. Didn't check the gap on the old ones, so maybe that could of been it.

Not complaining, just curious. Any ideas?
