For a 98-00 to an 01-04 swap you will need a new hood, hood latch, grille, headlight assemblies, and bumper fillers. If you want to switch bumpers, then obviously you would need a new bumper too.

Here's a helpful link to STLHarry's swap. He went from an 01-04 to a 95-97 swap

Corner lights and fenders are not necessary.

At least according to STLHarry who did this swap (in reverse)

Corner lights will only be if you swap fenders. Which while they are all basically the same..id do if you want it.."authentic" i guess. Each sub generation has different fender flares and slightly different front fenders.

So I finally took the time and installed my new r&p bushings from wheelers, and it handles like new. Gotta go get alignment in the morning I guess. I did find out the 1/2 socket extensions work awesome for getting old bushings and pins out, and for putting in the new bushings if you put the poly parts in by hand then use a thatching wood clamp it goes together really quick and effortless for the middle and driver side. I know there'd been a lot of talk recently about this topic so I figured I'd pass along what I found to make the project go quick simple and with out any problems!

Some lift, some armor, some scratches..
pampered the hell out of the Rad Baron today..

did a THOROUGH inspection and cleaning of the entire front suspension. Determined that the leaky LBJs need to be addressed ASAP. MOOG? added some Lucas stop leak to the power steering resevoir in hopes that it will slow the leaking seals in the rack, and realized that there's more play in the rack than I had thought :( Probably replace that in a few months. Removed, sanded smooth, and greased the caliper pins. Washed and waxed her, as well as detailed the engine compartment. Shampoo'd the hell out of my Wet Okole's, good as new! and finally, color-matched my shackle..

it was a good day :)

Alright sweet! Ya I was just wondering about the fenders because if I needed new ones I wasn't going to do it. I'm gonna get the hood, latch, grille, and headlights.

Sprayed the pollen off my truck, aired up my tires for my 500 mile trip tomorrow, and detailed the interior and exterior of my truck.

I swear, washing my truck is like therapy for me haha I just focus in on making the paint look as smooth as possible and i can shut out everything!

Really don't know why I bothered washing it though, it's supposed to rain and get down into the 30's tonight... Haha

Pulled 1100 lbs on some sketchy ass harbor freight kit trailer 80 miles. Picked up a motorcycle and some laser cut skid plates.

Got decent gas mileage on the whole trip considering I had a tail wind going down and head wind coming home.

I thought the ECT button was kinda useless. Did you notice a change in the shift points?
(Never towed anything so I wouldn't know)

Shift points definitely change with ECT on...

It works best for city driving, hilly driving, or towing.

It's for towing and hauling, so a non-loaded stock truck would not benefit from it at your average rpm. It holds you in a lower gear longer, so when I'm hauling or towing I use it for better acceleration. It helps avoid the trans "hunting for the correct gear".
