i recently heard about a kid who decided to fill his tube bumper with cement to make his front end feel more solid...

he got into a car accident that wasn't his fault, but with the cement in the bumper, he did so much damage to the other car, and they convinced a court that putting the cement was malicious intent, that he got legally screwed and ended up losing the truck and essentially getting the other party a brand new upgraded car...

if that loaded spare doesn't send your rear end sliding past your front end, hopefully it stays on your truck and not through the windshield of an innocent bystander when you do get into an accident or a slide... there was a pickup truck in my area that was driving along Hwy 5 at full speed when his spare broke loose from under the truck, bounced over the center divide and into the windshield of a car on the other side... poor driver died on impact as the tire went through the glass and straight into her neck...

and THAT was a regular tire... i can just imagine what a cement filled tire would do...

as some would say, that's a might redneck idea you got there...

Im sure someone could say that any aftermarket bumper is malicious intent^. i dont see the problem with the few xtra pounds on the back end. However the spare tire winches are known to fall off to begin with.

it's always better to look at some things as "worst case scenario"

    better safe than sorry...

I would be scared, that in an accident that it might go into the underside
of the truck and damage suspension, brake lines or something under there,
maybe strap it in the bed instead?

or you could always get a small spacer lift up front to level the truck out.
