mind if I copy? :D I kinda want to make a sub box that might be able to fit between the 2 cushions in the back but I don't think that that would be very spacious would it?

    By all means.

Hit up the audio forum for guys that know their shit about box space, etc.

For me... I'll sacrifice a little bit of bass just to have the stealthiness of the sub being flush mounted in that cubby. From what I've read though people have gotten a real nice sound out of that set up.

I mean it's a small cab, it doesn't take much to get bass in it and plus I'm not looking to boom a turd out of my guts, I just want nice tight hard hitting bass from a sub that has quick response.

Haha I went through the huge bass phase, now I just want the same thing you do. Except I'm going with this box.

    ever read this ?

    https://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html

Off set and BS are two different things entirely.
off set can be dependent on the forming or coning
    of the wheels center chunk...

    that translates to...

wheels sharing the same back spacing...
may still not have enough off set to clear brake calipers.

    So I recommend pre-fitting wheels
    before installing tires.
That way they can be returned/exchanged as new/unused.

    ----------------

    BOT...

I checked and muh junk is still in the garage.
'bout all I did this day

one more question... does anyone know the backspacing on these bad boys and can they be powder coated? they seems to be the only 8" wide TRD wheel that will fit the Tacomas... with the right backspacing, these will be my decision to go with.

I like the stealthiest of it too but kina want an armrest at the same time, my friend has an 18 incher in his tundra that booms so loud when we were driving we had to sit out the windows to breathe! Ya I don't want something that loud either

That's a nice idea... never would've thought about putting the amp like that

Thanks. Not the answer I was hoping for... im looking for a 4" backspacing on a 16x8" wheel... those Ivan Stewart rims are the only 16x8 TRD wheel for the tacomas.

Yeah I don't usually have people sitting in my back seats, never more than one.. But I do have to put things back there like gun cases, so I drew up a box for an alpine type-r 10" that fits in the space behind the seat, and flush with the top of the back seat. That way I'll still have room to lay a gun or guncase or whatever across my back seat. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1368768913.895618.jpg

I went with an 8" in each one of the cubbies and I love it. I spent a lot of time trying to make sure I did everything right the first time so I wouldn't have any regrets later on. I'm definitely happy with my audio setup :D

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
I can still fit 1/2 a butt cheek in my rear cab. LOL. Besides who needs rear jump seat anyways? Not me:

But if you want to keep both seats...you can build a box like my old box here that was a mix of fiberglass and wood that fit a single JL Audio 12W3V3 too:

Ya those first sub boxes take up to much room, on the last pic how did that setup work?

+2. I like Polks. I forget the ones I stuck in my doors but they fit the factory opening, silk dome tweeters and cost about $100/pair. Now I just need to install the amp I bought to give them better juice.

Dang, what is that box for, 15's? The only reason I plan on going with a box that goes between the seats is for more storage and the slight chance of needing the seats.

    Looks really good!
