What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

You don't count! Haha if/when I go 35's I'll probably take them off. Your tires stick out a lot! what's the width on those? Your running spacers?

 

They are 12.5s. 1" spacers I ink out front.

If you look at the rears they aren't as far out.

Not any wider then most of us with 12.5s and spacers.

But I swear it's just the 35s that make em seem sooooo much bigger haha

 

Oh, mine stick out about half as much as his do! Haha I love the look, but it's too much for me right now.

 

My 1998 has bolts on the underside of the top of the wheel well.

I have no idea what's behind the flare because I've never taken it off.

However on the 95-2000 parts list I have, they do not show any clips through the fender like the 2001-04 parts list.

 

Yeah 12.50s on 3.75" BS and 1" spacers in the front that have since been removed.

I'll step up to 40"s next time around. I gotta stay one step ahead of Monte haha

 

Hmm, you're exactly 1" wider than I am on each side then. Seems like a lot more than that!

Probably won't be doing anything major to the truck for awhile, trying to buy parts, save up for a DD, and rebuilding that D60 right now.

Key word being 'probably'.

If you think the tires stick out pretty bad now, wait til the 60 is under there. I'll probably take a page (several ) from Matt's build and the width will probably end up like this.



Unless I can find some wheels with 5" or 5.5" BS. Other than the H2 wheels, not sure where/what I can get.

 

My 2000 had mostly bolts with I think only one clip in each front wheel well. No clips in the back? If I remember correctly

According to this, 2nd gen TRD Offroad wheels are 5.25" BS. Not sure though, just taking their word for it.

 

DAMN! I thought toyota factory wheels for all tacomas were like 4.5" backspacing...

 

Gotta fit a 8x6.5 bolt pattern
