    Screwed these tabs onto window bolts, zip-tied a string of garden LEDs. Now I can see without lamps when I truck camp :) Lights are solar powered to charge battery, and detect light so they also only turn on at night.

    Doesn't oxidize like plastic. Older cars have them.

    95-97 front end swap :p

    I doubt anyone makes them.... but I have used 3M's headlight restorer on several vehicles with GREAT results (look new). After restoring, an occasional polishing of the plastic will keep them from clouding/scratching.

    I've tried restore kits multiple times with no avail. Just going to buy new headlights soon when I do the blinker conversion.

    so im trying to remove my leaf springs and i dont know how to remove the lower shackle bolt. someone help me? haha

    If the kits you are using do not involve you sanding the plastic with multiple grits of sandpaper, that is why!

    The bolts are pressed into the shackles! They cannot be removed individually!

    I don't know what your having trouble with, I just hope your doing one side at a time. I love the blacked out 97 though :thumbsup:

    You need some clear corners for the front

    alright so how do i get the rear end of the leaf spring off? and yes, im doing one side at a time. ive got the front part unbolted but i dont know how to remove the rear part

    It actually has more to do with clear coating them after the process. When you sand the plastic you're removing all UV/weather protection from the lens.

    If you don't clear coat them afterwards, they will just oxidize at an even quicker rate.

    Most people use compounds only to try and restore headlights, which doesn't remove imperfections, and will only make the plastic shine temporarily.

    If you can find a clear coat that will last on a headlight, I will be impressed. You're better off polishing them once a year.

    If I remember right, both of the bolts are pressed into one side.

    Take off the nut on each side and slide the shackle out. As long as you don't have the leafs bound up you should be able to just slide em out. May need some persuasion with some hammer action.

    You can either slide the whole leaf out from the frame mount and leaf or since you have the front of the leaf off already u can slide just the leaf off the bottom shackle.

    i guess my problem is that there is still weight on the rear part of the spring..but my jack wont go any hire and ive already got all the other bolts off so i cant lower it to put blocks on the jack to lift it hire..i guess i didnt think this through first
