    Haha well that's not a fair judgment, those are considered all-terrains...

    And he was using a crawl box, when you have about 500lbs of torque on a tacoma u-joint, it's likely to snap...

    So I went to the junkyard to look for some chevy 63's and this is the best candidate I could find. Any input? Still not sure if I'm looking at the right thing but they are actually 64" eye to eye (Which Silas mentioned in his build as well). Another thing is that they are 2.5" wide and our tacoma's are 2 3/8". Will it still fit in the rear shackle? I'm going to go measure my shackles in a sec. Let me know if these would be good to move on since these were the only ones with good arc I saw.

    Measured the shackles and they're like 2 3/4" inside to inside so they should fit fine. Would really like for someone who is familiar with this swap to let me know if these would be good ones to get!

    Usually for Chevy 63s you have to make cutom shackles or tweak the leafs or mounts. Not a direct bolt in mod.

    I know they aren't bolt in. I was just hoping I could use my stock toyota shackles, which it looks like I can, instead of having to make more. I plan on making my own front hangers out of 3.5x3.5 1/4" wall btw. Just need to figure out where to buy that.

    Haha gonna try and find somewhere local. I just remembered there's a place back home that my dad has gotten metal from so I'm going to check with him for some of the 3.5x3.5 tubing and some 16ga sheet metal to use when I tub the firewall.

    Yes, which is why you only have to move the front hanger and not both like the older toyotas. Not sure about 01-04 but I think they are the same as 98-00

    That's what I thought. I knew the 95-97 were shorter I just wasn't sure about 01-04.
