Everyone was okay. I wasn't with him. This was while he was in Norman, OK. He was being stupid with friends and wasn't paying attention and plowed into a Silverado. I think he may have totaled the Silverado, but I didn't see it. Airbags pretty much saved his life.

At what speed do the seatbelt tensioners lockup and permanently stay locked? Like, keeping the seatbelt from retracting.

I don't know about the exact speed, but I hit a little jump on a trail this weekend and only got a little bit of air and the person in my passenger seat couldn't get it to unlock for about 30 seconds.

I think it's more of a function of how much, and how quickly, force being applied to the seatbelt itself.

I can get it to "lock up" by merely reaching for the stereo too sharply... and then it won't release until I ease up on belt.

That's how I always thought it worked.

FWIW, there are no sensors or wires etc in the seat belt retractor assembly. As far as I could see when I had my interior torn apart.

Im really surprised that it lasted that long, i have a aluminum boat with live well that plugged off and was going to fill it full of ice to keep fish on and the first time i tried it the damn ice almost completely melted in about an hour. Awesome idea glad it worked for ya.

Yeah I was surprised to because it was hot as balls outside, even once the ice melted the water stayed cold until about midnight when I drained it

started the process of this today. took all 3 parts of the bumper apart to strip them of all the plasti-dip i used :anonymous:
i'm planning to use rustoleum bed-liner in a can as i have left over cans from when i did my rockers, bumper, and most recently, fender flares.
    looks good btw

yea my buddy plastidiped allot of the shit on his jeep a while ago and when you get up close you can tell its starting to wear so i figured id go with the sure solution and do it right the first time.

i thought about taking the bumper down but i figured id be able to get a good spray if i just did a good tape job, but the fender flares i just took off to spray those, those are easy

Went to Discount Tires and almost pulled the trigger on 285/75/16 BFG ATs ($225 each) with Pro Comp 7069s ($120 each). Have to think a little bit more about it though.

Do people usually get the spare tire matched with the rest also...?

Hmm.. I'd rather put $400 to something else so I'll just get away with my 31" spare tire and the factory alloy wheel. I suppose I could always buy an extra later.

    I'm not that fancy

Good info though, thanks for that & the pic m3bassman!

You could also find a used tire in the bigger size to mount on your factory rim. Not sure if it would fit under the truck though.

It wouldn't I'd have to do the particular mod that allows a 32/33" tire underneath. I'm pretty sure you just have to trim a steel piece. I'll probably look for a bigger tire, that'd work

I really like the look of them & how they fill the wheel wells with the lift. I currently have just over a 3" lift up front and with the All-Pro Expo leafs coming this week I'll have between 3-4" of lift in the rear. I don't "offroad" much in terms of wheeling. I stick to shitty gravel roads at the worst (20%) and the rest are city pavement (80%) so I don't need to worry a whole lot about flexing.

If you're going to mount the 33 underneath, be sure to keep your stock bumper or if going to an offroad one, I'd go with a plate. With my factory spare it looked butt ugly hanging down with my tube bumper. That's why it's in my bed.

    Yes. :D
