    Head unit. That's it.

I'm not talking about the color of the coil, I'm talking about the structure of the shock. Mine is threaded, and his doesn't seem to be, am I missing something?

Installed my 881's and EMU shocks with trim packers. Replaced my 135K Donahoes. Was getting a sqweak from the passenger shock. The ride is amazing.

    Plenty to come

8"s hit so much cleaner and tighter even in a ported box tho. I went from a jl 12" to two 8w3s and they hit harder then any 12 I have heard. Of course if you go 12w3 or higher you'll get more but in that case you need a big amp. I loved my 12 for gangsta shit but im so much happier with 8's

    ALL OF THEM!...Then some more.

Could NOT disagree with this more.

12s are almost always boomier. Are they louder? sure, they are easier to make louder due to the size of them and how much more air they will move with littler power used.

But, they do NOT respond as fast or tight as a 8'' or even a 10''. They just can't. They are too big. I mean..sure they can..but you'll pay out the ass for one as it'll have to be made out of PREMIUM matterials.

10'' is the best of both worlds. 12's are more for if you want to make yourself deaf and rattle the mirrors off your rig and the guy parked next to you in traffic.

a 8 will always sound better. When amped correctly and tuned right with a system, it'll hit just as hard and just as low but sound much better. And it'll still make you deaf if your not careful but thats a story for another day.

if you want awesome SQ and occasionally want to blow your doors off, get 10s.

IMO 12s are stupid to put in a car much less 15s.

only place a 15 or 18'' sub has if for Live sound and those systems are SO fine tuned its scary and they have SOOOOOO much amp power its ridiculous(Try 4000w RMS for just 1 sub...now multiple that by 40-60..) reason why you can feel most live shows from 300' away easily...and go very deaf. But thats a bit different then cars..

either way..the science is the same. for a small space like a cab of our trucks..8'' is the best. 10'' are gonna be next and 12s are just dumb.

Granted its also taste, like i said early, most people just slap a sub in and call it a day and don't tune it or anything really. If you think for one second your cute little aftermarket headunit thats putting out 20ish watts RMS per channel is making your stock speakers keep up with a AMPED SUB...you..are sadly mistaken. your starving those speakers of power like you would not believe and while yes sure it still sounds okay and i may be more picky..there is a big difference. I have heard it.

but again..most people dont care and as long as they can feel it and barely make out the words to a song..they don't care about the mids..or highs..or high mids..or low mids..sad really..

    sorry for the rant..just sayin..
