What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I went with the stainless steel, 18", 4x9 size with the inlet and outlet in the center, with a 2.5" opening so it slides and welds easily over the 2.25" stock pipe. Magnaflow model #11246, though I think there are several others that could easily work just as well.

Overall, I would agree with this. I did notice that when I chopped my tailpipe off, the sound changed some too. I liked it before but I liked it even more with the pipe cut off. Except when Its warming up in the morning, you can just barely hear it until you get on it. This is true at all speeds. No drone at highway speeds.

My tailpipe ends after the axle. The end hangs midway between the spring and the spare tire.

Changed out my doorhandles. Didnt like the chrome ones and they were breaking already so found a pair of black ones on fleabay.

I ran my VIN on Toyota's site. It said there was a recall for the lower ball joints so I went to a dealer and had them replaced.

Why wonder. If your not sure if a particular recall applies to your truck or just want to know the previous service history of work done at Toyota dealers, it is easy enough to find out.

Ya I joined that a lil while back and found a bunch of service records, lower bj replaced

 

Mine were replaced too at the Toyota dealership I bought it from. I think they did all the recall fixes.

 

What type of liner did you use?

 

It may just be me but those u-bolts look a little crooked. I'd tighten them up if I were you
