    WOW thats way different then Canada....We pay registration once a year for $81. We dont need any inspections unless our vehicles are 10 years old. Then it needs a mechanic inspection and is good to go.

    in Georgia we go to the tag office if you have proof of insurance in the states computer they will sell you a tag. once you pay your initial taxes when you first bought the car/truck/bike etc its only 20$ a year for the entire time you own that vehicle. no inspections for anything unless you live in metro atlanta

    one nice thing. we only have one tax. 5% and we dont pay it on used vehicles unless its a dealer.
