My air filter housing box broke loose from the MAF piece too. I just put some jb weld on it and let it set for 15 hours then took some black gorilla tape and taped it really good (even though with the jb weld it didn't need it.) Mine has held up great!

Mine are exactly 3" inches wide iirc but if you do make the stripes end parallel with the indention on your hood

did you do one at a time or did you have a super skinny piece of tape between them?

I measured and marked a line right down the middle of the painters tape and used a giant cutting thing that they use to edge photos and cut it ( I was pretty anal about how I was executing it)

This was the first time I actually used it so I made the mistake of pulling it off dry so I had to get a knife and cut it

    on a positive note!

after breaking my air filter house and zip tying it back together i noticed a HUGE difference in power, i should also note that the front of my MAF sensor was COVERED in dirt! so not only the power was a huge difference i can imagine my gas mileage will also be noticeably better as soon as i can properly measure it on my next fill up

i need to give a shout out on here to a local utah member CohbsTaco for meeting up with me and giving me a can of real MAF sensor cleaner! thank man! its cool total strangers are willing to help! the good ole interwebs have some mighty fine peeps in these cyberworlds

Lol that's the cleanest jb weld job I think I've ever done. I used the end of a plastic spoon surprisingly.
