You going to Moab this year? Tyler (Pelfreybilt) is going, you might talk him into bringing them if he has room.

Old wagoneers came with those type 15" wheels. They do look awesome! I tried on a set of wheels just like those when I was gonna buy a set from Jeep Masters here in austin. They looked sick but required atleast a 1/4" spacer to clear the caliper. At the time I didn't think I would want spacers but now I can't wait to get a set of spacers and go back and buy a set of those old wagoneer wheels.

Doug, if monte doesn't want them let me know your price and price to ship and maybe I'll buy them

Put some bling on last night, extended rear brake line. Anyone else have a problem with theirs rubbing through? A local said his rubbed through, but i'm not sure where or on what. Mine looks like it should be fine, but I haven't flexed the rear end with it yet. And yes, the little hard line junction thing is held on by zip ties. Rusty bolts ftl.

I saw some mention of running (Porsche?) 930 boots not too long ago...

    I think from these guys:
    www.offroad-engineering.com/930cvboots.html

My CVJ remans outer boots are trashed and torn and I need to replace them before long. Will the linked units fit our axles?

Just curious but does it make any difference which way the bilsteins are mounted (boot up or down)?

Nope. Most do boots down so you're not getting debris built up on the seal.

Depends if you drive through mud holes and crap. I avoid them at all costs, and prefer the boots so that the shafts don't get sandblasted with salt and all the other crap they put on the roads here.

Hmm, not sure... Monte should know as he's mentioned them before...

Did your CVJ axles come with the high angle boots or just the normal boots? I was thinking about getting a set, but now this worries me since you said that... Haha

930 boots from the 80s 911 porches is what ya want.

    like dis : http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,carcode,1262629,parttype,2284

    or this: http://www.offroadsolutions.com/products/replacement-cv-boot/

the one i the link you quoted has just as many if not more fins as stock..you want less fins. Less fins means they won't touch as much.

    Sick dent

I'll keep this in mind when I do my CV axles. My boots are slinging grease allover the place. Would it be worth doing this instead of new Toyota boots and then doing the boot slide mod with new Toyota boots?

Yea id think so. Is a PITA though as you have to disassemble the whole CV. But its what all the LT guys do to their Tundra CVs.
